Dhakuri Trek Package 2 Nights 3 Days is a peaceful short Himalayan trek in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, perfect for travellers who want a scenic mountain experience away from heavy crowds. Located in the Pindar Valley, also known as Danpur Valley, this trek takes you through beautiful villages, dense forests, open meadow-like trails and charming Himalayan landscapes.

The highlight of the trek is Chiltha Mata Temple Top, situated at an altitude of around 3250 meters. From the top, trekkers get a wide 360-degree view of village valleys on one side and the grand Kumaon Himalayas on the other. The route offers views of major peaks such as Panchachuli, Trishul, Nanda Kot, Maiktoli, Devtoli, Nanda Khat and many other snow-covered Himalayan ranges.

Dhakuri Trek is ideal for beginners, weekend travellers, nature lovers and anyone looking for a quiet Himalayan escape. The trek can be experienced in different seasons, with rhododendron blooms in spring, lush greenery during monsoon and snow-covered trails in winter. With forest walks, sunrise views, sunset moments, local homestay experience and peaceful mountain surroundings, this trek is a perfect short adventure from Kathgodam.

Itinerary

Day 1 Kathgodam to Dhoor Village

Your journey begins with an early morning pickup from Kathgodam around 6:00 AM. After meeting the trip coordinator, start your long scenic drive towards the Kumaon hills.
The route passes through beautiful mountain towns and valleys including Almora, Bageshwar and Kapkot. As you move deeper into the region, the landscapes become quieter, greener and more remote.
On the way, there may be a change of shared local vehicle depending on road and transport arrangements. Continue the journey towards Dhoor Village, one of the starting points for the Dhakuri Trek.
Reach Dhoor Village by evening after a long drive of around 10 to 11 hours. Check in to a local homestay, freshen up and relax after the journey.
Enjoy a warm dinner and overnight stay at Dhoor Village.

Day 2 Dhoor Village to Chiltha Mata Temple Top and Dhakuri Stay

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast at the homestay. After a short briefing, begin the main trekking day towards Dhakuri and Chiltha Mata Temple Top.
The trail starts with a steady climb through dense forest sections. During winter, the route beyond Dhakuri may receive snow, making the experience more adventurous and scenic.
Continue the ascent towards Dhakuri Pass and then move further towards Chiltha Mata Temple Top, the summit point of the trek. The top is situated at an altitude of around 3250 meters and offers a stunning Himalayan viewpoint.
From here, enjoy panoramic views of the Kumaon Himalayas. On a clear day, trekkers can witness peaks such as Panchachuli, Trishul, Nanda Kot, Maiktoli, Devtoli, Nanda Khat and other surrounding Himalayan ranges.
Spend some peaceful time at the summit, capture photographs and enjoy the unforgettable mountain views. Later, descend towards Dhakuri for the night stay.
Dinner and overnight stay will be arranged at Dhakuri in a guest house or tent, depending on availability and weather conditions.

Day 3 Dhakuri to Kharkiya or Dhoor Trek and Return to Kathgodam

Wake up early to witness a beautiful sunrise over the snow-covered Himalayan peaks from Dhakuri meadow. This is one of the most memorable moments of the trek.
After breakfast, begin an easy descent towards Dhoor or Kharkiya Village. The descent is around 4 km and offers peaceful forest and village trail views.
Reach the road head where the vehicle will be waiting for the return journey. Begin the long drive back towards Kathgodam via Bharadi, Kapkot, Bageshwar and Almora.
The drive may take around 10 to 12 hours depending on road and weather conditions. Reach Kathgodam by late evening around 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Your Dhakuri Trek Package 2 Nights 3 Days ends with beautiful memories of Kumaon’s hidden Himalayan gateway.

Payment & Confirmation Policies

👉 100.0% of the total Trip/Trek cost will have to be paid 7 days before the Date of Travel.
👉 Booking will be considered confirmed only after a minimum advance payment of 30% of the total package cost.
👉 Once we receive your deposit, we'll send you a confirmation email with all the details, the Invoice & due amount, and the payment date.
👉 Failure to make a timely payment may result in auto-cancellation without prior notice.
👉 Valid ID proof (Aadhar card, passport, etc.) must be submitted at the time of booking.
👉 For international trips, passport copies with a minimum of 6 months' validity and visa documents must be submitted as per deadlines.
👉 Payments accepted via UPI, Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards, or bank transfers.
👉 Payments made via Credit/Debit Card may attract an additional payment gateway charge (as per the gateway's fee structure).
👉 Cash payments (if any) must be acknowledged with an official receipt.
👉 If you choose to book flight, train, or bus tickets through SkyHike’s team, Full payment is required to issue flight, train, or bus tickets.
👉 Transport ticket prices are dynamic. Final fare will be as per the live rates visible on the booking portals at the time of processing. Any price difference from previous quotes will be chargeable.
