This 5 day Sikkim journey is designed as a gradual mountain experience, beginning from Bagdogra and moving up to Gangtok and North Sikkim. Over these days, you travel alongside the Teesta River, explore waterfalls and mountain villages, visit the high altitude Yumthang Valley, and return to Gangtok for a relaxed conclusion.
All airport transfers, intercity movement, North Sikkim permits, and hotel coordination are arranged by the SkyHike team to ensure smooth travel throughout the tour.

For a long stretch, you will drive alongside the Teesta River, known for its striking green color. Tea gardens, hanging bridges, and mountain bends make the drive scenic and steady.
As you approach Gangtok, the air becomes cooler and the landscape more elevated. After hotel check in, you can rest and freshen up.
In the evening, you may take a relaxed walk to MG Marg, which is the heart of Gangtok. This pedestrian only street is lined with cafes, small restaurants, and local shops. It is a good place to experience the local vibe at a comfortable pace.

Further ahead, you reach Chungthang Confluence, where the Lachen Chu and Lachung Chu rivers meet. This spot holds religious importance and offers scenic river views.
By afternoon or early evening, you reach Lachung, a peaceful mountain village located at higher altitude. After hotel check in, the evening is kept relaxed for acclimatization. The air here is colder, and rest is important before the next day’s excursion.
