Today, we kick things off with a scenic drive from Dehradun to the peaceful village of Agoda in the Bhatwari Tehsil of Uttarkashi.
The journey is filled with rustic mountain views as we make our way through the Garhwal.
You’ll witness the lush green beauty of the Bhagirathi River, conical pine trees lining the road, and the serene Ganga River.
Once we arrive in Agoda, we’ll settle into our homestay, where you can relax and freshen up.
In the evening, we’ll gather for a trek briefing where we’ll go over the trek schedule, safety tips, and environmental practices to ensure a smooth and enjoyable adventure ahead.
At night, you’ll be served a warm dinner.
After a delicious breakfast, we begin our trek to Manjhi, the halfway point towards Dodital.
We’ll head through a stunning oak forest. The flora and fauna here are breathtaking.
Along the way, we’ll cross streams and hike up rocky terrain, reaching the charming villages. Here you’ll witness the life of pahadi people.
The trail continues with a slight incline, surrounded by dense woods, until we reach Manjhi. The beauty of this place is unmatched.
Then we’ll set up our camps. You can relax and freshen up.
Once there, you’ll have time to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Dinner will be served at the campsite, where you can chat with fellow trekkers and rest up for tomorrow’s journey.
We will start our day with a healthy breakfast.
Today’s trek is a pleasant one as we head towards Dodital Lake.
The path is fairly level, with small streams trickling through dense forests along the way.
The last stretch takes us gently downhill to Annapurna Temple and leads us to the lake’s edge.
Here, we’ll set up camp with a stunning view of the serene waters.
Take some time to relax, explore the area, and enjoy the beauty of this sacred spot.
In the evening, we’ll enjoy a delicious dinner at the campsite and cozy up for a restful night.
We’ll start our day with a warm, tasty meal.
Today is the longest and most challenging day of the trek, as we head towards Darwa Pass.
After a hearty breakfast, we’ll begin the steep climb from Dodital.
The snow-covered pass is amazing to walk upon, and we’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Garhwal peaks like Mt. Srikanth, Bandarpoonch, and Draupadika Danda.
The ascent is quite challenging, so we’ll take it slow and steady.
After reaching the pass, we’ll spend some time soaking in the views before we begin our descent back to Bhebra.
The long day of trekking will end with a well-deserved dinner and a restful night at the Bhebra campsite.
We start the day with a short trek back to Agoda. So we’ll start the trek after aving breakfast.
The familiar trail will take us through lush forests and streams.
Once we reach Agoda, we’ll hop into our vehicle for the drive back to Dehradun.
The 7-hour drive will take us through scenic routes, with a stop for lunch along the way.
By late evening, we’ll reach Dehradun, where your unforgettable trek comes to an end.

Best Time to Visit:
The ideal time to visit Dodital is from April to June and September to November, when the weather is pleasant and perfect for trekking. Avoid the monsoon season (July-August) due to heavy rainfall.
Trekking Difficulty:
Dodital trek is moderate in difficulty, suitable for beginners with some trekking experience. Be prepared for steep ascents and some rocky terrain.
Pack Essentials:
Carry warm clothing, sturdy trekking shoes, a rain jacket, and sufficient snacks and water. The weather can change quickly at higher altitudes.
Acclimatization:
Due to the altitude (3,300 meters), ensure you acclimatize properly to avoid altitude sickness. Take it slow and stay hydrated throughout the trek.
