Panchachuli Base Camp Trek Package 4 Nights 5 Days is a scenic Himalayan journey into the beautiful Darma Valley region of Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. The trek takes you close to the majestic Panchachuli peaks, a group of five snow-covered Himalayan summits deeply connected with local legends and Mahabharata beliefs. According to the uploaded itinerary, the five peaks include Panchachuli I, II, III, IV and V, with Panchachuli II being the highest at 6904 meters.

The journey begins from Kathgodam and takes you through Pithoragarh, Dharchula and the beautiful villages of Dugtu or Dantu. These villages are the nearest road heads for Panchachuli Base Camp, and from here the base camp and glacier area is around 5 km on foot. The improved road access has made this trek easier than before, making it suitable for families, solo travellers and trekkers with normal walking fitness.

This trek is perfect for travellers looking for a short Himalayan escape with stunning mountain views, peaceful village stays, scenic road journeys and a close view of the Panchachuli glacier region. The route offers a rare blend of cultural beauty, borderland landscapes, homestay experiences and easy to moderate trekking, making it one of the most rewarding short treks in the Kumaon Himalayas.

Itinerary

Day 1 Kathgodam to Pithoragarh
  • Your journey starts early in the morning with pickup near Kathgodam Railway Station around 6:30 AM. After meeting the team, begin your scenic drive towards Pithoragarh.
  • The route passes through the beautiful Almora side, offering mountain roads, valley views, forest patches and peaceful hill towns along the way. The long drive gives you a perfect introduction to the Kumaon Himalayas.
  • Reach Pithoragarh by late afternoon or evening and check in to your hotel or guest house. Spend the evening relaxing after the journey and prepare for the next day’s drive towards the Panchachuli region.
  • Dinner and overnight stay will be in Pithoragarh.
Day 2 Pithoragarh to Dharchula and Dugtu or Dantu
  • After breakfast, begin your drive towards Dharchula, a small hill town located near the India and Nepal border. The drive from Pithoragarh to Dharchula takes around 3 hours.
  • From Dharchula, continue the journey towards Dugtu or Dantu village. The road passes through the Panchachuli region and follows a scenic mountain route through Tawaghat, Dar, Nagling and Baling.
  • Dugtu and Dantu are the nearest road heads for Panchachuli Base Camp. Both villages offer a peaceful Himalayan setting with homestay facilities and beautiful views of the surrounding landscapes.
  • Reach the village by evening and check in to a local homestay. Enjoy dinner and rest for the night.
Day 3 Panchachuli Base Camp and Glacier Exploration
  • Wake up to a peaceful morning in the mountains and enjoy breakfast at the homestay. After breakfast, begin your trek towards Panchachuli Base Camp and the glacier area.
  • The trek is around 5 km one way from Dugtu or Dantu village. The trail is easy to moderate and offers amazing Himalayan views, open landscapes and a closer look at the Panchachuli peaks.
  • Spend time exploring the base camp area and enjoying the natural beauty of the glacier surroundings. This is the main highlight of the trip, giving you beautiful views of the snow-covered Panchachuli range.
  • After spending enough time at the base camp, trek back to Dugtu or Dantu village.
  • Dinner and overnight stay will be at the homestay.
Day 4 Dugtu or Dantu to Pithoragarh
  • After breakfast, check out from the homestay and begin your return drive towards Pithoragarh.
  • Enjoy the scenic mountain road journey once again as you pass through the valleys, villages and beautiful landscapes of the region. The return drive takes around 6 to 7 hours depending on road and weather conditions.
  • Reach Pithoragarh by evening and check in to your hotel or guest house. Spend the evening at leisure and relax after the mountain journey.
  • Dinner and overnight stay will be in Pithoragarh.
Day 5 Pithoragarh to Kathgodam
  • After breakfast, begin your return journey from Pithoragarh to Kathgodam by shared vehicle.
  • The drive takes you back through the scenic Kumaon route with mountain views, valleys and peaceful hill settlements along the way. Reach Kathgodam by evening.
  • Your Panchachuli Base Camp Trek Package 4 Nights 5 Days ends with beautiful memories of the Panchachuli peaks, glacier views, Darma Valley landscapes and peaceful Himalayan villages.

  • 👉Travel Insurance is not included unless mentioned. Strongly recommended for high-risk destinations or international travel.
Payment & Confirmation Policies
  • 👉 100.0% of the total Trip/Trek cost will have to be paid 7 days before the Date of Travel.
  • 👉 Booking will be considered confirmed only after a minimum advance payment of 30% of the total package cost.
  • 👉 Once we receive your deposit, we'll send you a confirmation email with all the details, the Invoice & due amount, and the payment date.
  • 👉 Failure to make a timely payment may result in auto-cancellation without prior notice.
  • 👉 Valid ID proof (Aadhar card, passport, etc.) must be submitted at the time of booking.
  • 👉 For international trips, passport copies with a minimum of 6 months' validity and visa documents must be submitted as per deadlines.
  • 👉 Payments accepted via UPI, Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards, or bank transfers.
  • 👉 Payments made via Credit/Debit Card may attract an additional payment gateway charge (as per the gateway's fee structure).
  • 👉 Cash payments (if any) must be acknowledged with an official receipt.
  • 👉 If you choose to book flight, train, or bus tickets through SkyHike’s team, Full payment is required to issue flight, train, or bus tickets.
  • 👉 Transport ticket prices are dynamic. Final fare will be as per the live rates visible on the booking portals at the time of processing. Any price difference from previous quotes will be chargeable.

  • 👉 Children under 5 years old are free of charge. However, please note that this typically applies to one child per paying couple. Additional children under 5 Y/O may require a separate seat or pay a discounted fare.
  • 👉 Children between 6 and 12 years old will be charged 70% of the adult travel cost (per person).
  • 👉 Children 12 years and older will be charged the full adult travel cost.
  • 👉 Please be sure to provide the accurate age of all traveling children at the time of booking.
  • 👉 Documentation proving a child's age may be required during check-in (e.g., birth certificate, Adhar Card/Passport).
