Our 7-day journey takes you through the most notable destinations in Ladakh. You'll visit the villages of Leh and Nubra Valley, the scenic Pangong Tso lake, and the historic Stok Village. Each day brings new experiences and opportunities to discover the region's unique charm.

During your journey, you'll have the chance to visit ancient monasteries, explore traditional villages, and meet the local people. You'll learn about their customs, traditions, and way of life, gaining a deeper understanding of the region's rich cultural heritage.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Leh
  • Upon your arrival at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Leh. 

  • After checking into your hotel, you can take some time to relax and acclimatize to the altitude. 

  • Leh is located at an elevation of 3,500 meters (11,500 feet), so it is important to rest and allow your body to adjust to the thinner air.

  • Post rest, begin your Leh city sightseeing tour with a visit to the Leh Palace. This historic palace offers a panoramic view of the Leh city.

  • Next, head to the Shanti Stupa, a stunning white-domed Buddhist stupa located atop a hill. The stupa offers one of the best views of the surrounding Leh valley.

  • After visiting the Shanti Stupa, you will be taken to Leh Market, where you can stroll through the bustling streets filled with local shops offering Ladakhi handicrafts, souvenirs, and a variety of foods.

  • In the evening, return to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay. 

  • Enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel, prepared with local ingredients, and rest up for the adventures of the following days.

Day 2 Sham Valley Day Tour
  • After a hearty breakfast at your hotel in Leh, prepare for a full-day excursion to Sham Valley, also known as the "Apricot Valley." 

  • The first stop of your day is Spituk Monastery, located about 8 km (20 minutes) from Leh. 

  • This monastery is home to around 100 monks and houses a grand statue of Maa Kali. 

  • Next, head towards Sangam Point, situated about 35 km (1 hour) from Leh, where the Zanskar and Indus Rivers meet. 

  • Our next stop is Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a Sikh temple located around 25 km (45 minutes) from Sangam Point. 

  • At lunchtime, you can enjoy the langar (community meal) served at the Gurudwara, which is a unique and welcoming experience.

  • From there, continue to Magnetic Hill, which is about 20 km (30 minutes) from the Gurudwara.

  • Our next stop is SECMOL School (approximately 45 minutes from Magnetic Hill), the school that gained fame as the filming location for the movie "3 Idiots." 

  • The final stop on your day tour is the Hall of Fame, located 20 km (30 minutes) from SECMOL. 

  • This museum is dedicated to the soldiers who lost their lives during the Indo-Pak wars. 

  • After a day full of exploration, you will head back to Leh.

  • Enjoy a delicious dinner at your hotel in Leh and head back to sleep.

Day 3 Transfer from Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (Drive: 159 km, 4hr 30min)
  • After a hearty breakfast at your hotel in Leh, we will begin our journey to Nubra Valley. 

  • The drive will take you through the world-famous Khardung La Pass, which stands at an altitude of 17,582 feet, making it one of the highest motorable roads in the world. 

  • The total distance from Leh to Nubra is approximately 120 km, and the drive takes around 4-5 hours, depending on road conditions.

  • As you ascend to Khardung La Pass, you will be captivated by the amazing views.

  • After a short break, we'll continue our journey to Nubra Valley, also known as the "Valley of Flowers." 

  • Upon arrival in Nubra, we will head towards Diskit Monastery, which is about 45 km (1.5 hours) from Khardung La. 

  • This 14th-century monastery is famous for its 106-foot-tall Maitreya Buddha statue, one of the largest Buddha statues in Ladakh. 

  • Next, explore the Hunder Sand Dunes, located around 10 km (20 minutes) from Diskit. 

  • Here, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a ride on the Bactrian camels. 

  • You can also choose to ride an ATV across the sand dunes. This activity typically lasts 30-45 minutes and is one of the most memorable experiences of your Nubra Valley trip.

  • After your adventure, we’ll head to our campsite in Nubra Valley, where you'll check in for an overnight stay. 

  • Enjoy a delicious dinner at the camp, where a traditional Ladakhi meal will be served, and unwind for the night.

Day 4 Transfer from Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso (Drive: 274 km 6hr 40min)
  • After a fulfilling breakfast at your camp in Nubra Valley, prepare for a scenic journey to Pangong Tso, one of the most beautiful high-altitude lakes in the world, located at 14,270 feet. 

  • The journey will take you through the Shyok Valley, a route that spans approximately 150 km and takes around 5-6 hours. 

  • The drive offers many opportunities for photography as the landscape transforms with every passing mile. 

  • Upon arrival at Pangong Lake, take a moment to marvel at its ever-changing shades of blue. 

  • Spend your afternoon exploring the shores of Pangong Tso. 

  • As the evening approaches, prepare for an unforgettable experience. 

  • We’ll enjoy a campfire dinner at our campsite near Pangong Lake. 

  • The clear skies offer an unparalleled view of the Milky Way Galaxy, making it an ideal location for those who enjoy astronomy and stargazing.

  • After dinner, retreat to your camp for the night.

Day 5 Transfer from Pangong Tso to Leh via Chang La Pass (Drive: 223 km, 5hr 11min)
  • After breakfast at your camp near Pangong Tso, we’ll check out and begin our journey back to Leh. 

  • The drive today takes you through the majestic Chang La Pass, one of the highest motorable passes in the world, standing at an altitude of 17,590 feet. 

  • The drive from Pangong Tso to Leh is approximately 150 km, and it takes around 5-6 hours to complete, depending on road conditions and stops.

  • As you ascend the Chang La Pass, briefly visit Chang La Baba Temple, a sacred site that honours the soldiers who safeguard the country's borders. 

  • Continuing our drive, we’ll arrive at Thiksey Monastery, one of the largest and most beautiful monasteries in Ladakh. 

  • Next, make your way to Druk Padma Karpo School, also known as the "Rancho School", from the popular Bollywood movie 3 Idiots. 

  • We will arrive in Leh by evening, where you will check in at your hotel for the night. 

  • Enjoy your warm dinner and head back to sleep.

Day 6 Stok Village Day Tour
  • After enjoying a hearty breakfast at your hotel in Leh, depart for a day tour to Stok Village, which is located approximately 15 km from Leh. 

  • The drive to Stok takes around 30-40 minutes.

  • Our first stop in Stok will be the Stok Palace, the historic home of the royal family of Ladakh. It has a museum that showcases artefacts from Ladakhi royal history, offering a deeper insight into the region's culture and heritage.

  • After exploring the palace, head to Sindhu Ghat, located near the Indus River, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of this beautiful spot.

  • Next, take a walk through the traditional Ladakhi village of Stok, where you can experience local life up close. 

  • You may also visit the Stok Monastery, a beautiful and peaceful place where you can admire statues and other artwork depicting Buddhist teachings. 

  • After exploring Stok Village and its cultural landmarks, we’ll drive back to Leh, arriving in the afternoon or early evening. The journey from Stok to Leh takes about 30-40 minutes, covering a distance of 15 km.

  • Once back in Leh, check into your hotel, where you will spend the night. 

  • At night, you’ll be served a warm dinner. After this, you can head back to your rooms.

Day 7 Departure
  • After a relaxing breakfast, you will check out and prepare for your departure.

  • Our arranged vehicle will take you from the hotel to Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport.

  • This marks the end of your Skyhike tour. Hope you had an amazing time with Skyhike!

  • 👉 While entering passenger names during the booking process, Do ensure that they exactly match the names on the travel documents (e.g. Aadhar Crad/PAN card/ Passport/Voter ID card/Any Identity Card) that you will be carrying for the Trip/Trek.

  • 👉 The passenger names in the booking form should be exactly as per Adhar Card. Sky Hike will not bear any liability for the name change fee if incorrect names and ages have been added at the time of booking.

  • 👉 In case your package needs to be canceled due to any natural calamity, weather conditions, etc. SkyHike reserves the right to deny a refund request in the event of a disaster, depending on the nature of the disaster and its impact on the organization.

  • 👉 Sky Hike reserves the right to modify the itinerary at any point, due to reasons including but not limited to Force Majeure events, strikes, fairs, festivals, weather conditions, traffic problems, cancellation rescheduling, closure of /entry restrictions at a place of visit, etc. While we will do our best to make suitable alternate arrangements, we will not be held liable for any refunds/compensation claims arising out of this.

Payment & Confirmation Policies
  • 👉 100.0% of the total Trip/Trek cost will have to be paid 7 days before the Date of Travel.

  • 👉 To confirm your Trek/Trip booking, a 30% advance payment is necessary. Once we receive your deposit, we'll send you a confirmation email with all the details, Invoice & due amount, and payment date.

Cancelation & Refund Policy
  • 👉 If cancellation is made 30 days or more before the Date of Travel, 25% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If cancellation is made between 29 days to 16 days before the date of travel, 50% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If cancellation is made between 7 days to 15 days before the date of travel, 80% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If cancellation is made within 7 days before the date of travel, the total booking cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If payment is not made as per the schedule provided in the first booking confirmation Email, Sky Hike reserves the right to cancel the booking after attempting to get in touch with you. Refunds will be issued as per the package cancellation policy.

  • 👉 Transfer your Trek/Trip (any Trek/Trip, within 2 months of your Date of Travel) to your friend before 15 days of your Date of Travel.

  • 👉 You can only Transfer your Trip or Trek to those friends or People who haven’t booked any trip with us in a given time period. 

  • 👉 70% cash voucher in the form of 'HikeCoin' for any other Trip/Trek for one year, If we are informed before 20 days of the date of travel. (1 Rupees = 10 HikeCoin)

  • 👉 80% cash voucher in the form of 'HikeCoin' for the same Trip/Trek for one year. If we are informed 20 days before the date of travel, (1 Rupee = 10 HikeCoin)

  • 👉 The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.

Child Policy
  • 👉 We recommend avoiding going on adventure trips with young children below the age of 7 years including Dham Yatra. The Dham Yatra has a demanding itinerary that can be challenging for young children.

  • 👉 Children under 5 years old are free of charge. However, Please note that this typically applies to one child per paying adult. Additional children under 5 Y/O may require a separate seat or pay a discounted fare.

  • 👉 Children between 6 and 12 years old will be charged 70% of the adult travel cost (per person).

  • 👉 Children 13 years and older will be charged the full adult travel cost.

  • 👉 Please be sure to provide the accurate age of all traveling children at the time of booking.

  • 👉 Documentation proving a child's age may be required during check-in (e.g., birth certificate, Adhar Card/Passport).

To reach Leh, you can consider the following transportation methods:

By Air: The fastest way is to fly directly to Leh's Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport from cities like Delhi, which takes about 2 hours.

By Train: The nearest railway station is Jammu Tawi, approximately 700 km away from Leh. From Jammu, you can hire a cab or take a JKSRTC bus to reach Leh.

By Bus: There are bus services available from major cities like Srinagar and Manali to Leh. The routes are scenic but can take a longer time due to the mountainous terrain.
