Welcome to your Black Peak expedition with SkyHike!
We’ll meet early in the morning at a designated point in Dehradun, where we’ll begin our scenic drive to Sankri, the base for our trek.
Expect a comfortable 8-9 hour drive along winding mountain roads.
As we approach Sankri, the air will feel fresher, and you’ll start to get excited about the adventure ahead.
After we check into our accommodation, we will take some time to relax and acclimatize to the mountain air.
In the evening, unwind and prepare for the trek.
Have an amazing dinner at night, and get plenty of rest.
After breakfast, we’ll hop into a vehicle for a 2-3 hour drive to Taluka, the start of our trek to Seema.
This drive will take us through narrow, bumpy roads, but the journey is filled with refreshing mountain air and breathtaking views.
Once we reach Taluka, we’ll begin our trek to Seema.
This is a steady, gradual climb. You’ll also witness the stunning Supin River accompanying us along the way.
The trek will take around 5-6 hours, and by the time we reach Seema, we’ll have earned some well-deserved rest.
Set up camp and enjoy the serene surroundings. At night, we’ll enjoy dinner along with other trekkers.
Get ready for another good day. But before that, have a good meal.
We’ll start early and make our way to Ruinsara Tal, a sacred high-altitude lake.
This 14-km trek will take us through beautiful alpine meadows, offering incredible views of Swargarohini Peak.
You’ll feel the magic of the place as we reach the lake, which is surrounded by vibrant wildflowers and towering peaks.
At such an elevation, Ruinsara Tal is a tranquil spot perfect for reflection and rest.
After setting up camp, take some time to relax and explore the area before settling in for the night.
At night, enjoy your meal in front of a bonfire.
Today, we trek towards Kyarkoti Base Camp, where we’ll be closer to our final destination, that is Black Peak.
But before that, enjoy your breakfast.
The 7 km trek will take us through boulders and alpine meadows, with the summit of Black Peak visible in the distance.
The landscape here is incredible, with expansive grasslands and rugged terrain. All of this looks straight out of a movie.
By the time we reach Kyarkoti, you’ll be standing at the foot of Black Peak, ready to take in the view of the majestic mountain.
Relax at the campsite, get settled, have dinner, and enjoy the stunning surroundings before preparing for the next day’s climb.
Start the day with breakfast.
We’ll spend the day resting and acclimatizing to the higher altitude.
This is an important day to allow your body to adjust to the environment, so make the most of it by relaxing and taking in the breathtaking views.
We’ll also go over gear distribution and preparation for the technical climbing ahead.
This is an important day of our journey.
Before starting the trek, we’ll have a nutritious meal.
We’ll begin by climbing from the base camp to Advanced Base Camp, followed by Camp 1, and finally, Summit Camp.
In these few days, we’ll switch between camps. It may be tiring, but it will be totally worth it.
Each day, we’ll increase our altitude, returning to the lower camps to sleep and gradually getting closer to Black Peak’s summit.
On the summit push day, we’ll make the final push to Black Peak’s summit, starting in the dead of night.
Expect a challenging ascent with fixed ropes, ice walls, and extreme winds. But the reward will be worth it - stunning panoramic views from the top!
Once at the summit, we’ll take in the incredible views before beginning our descent.

After the summit, we’ll begin our descent back to base.
We’ll follow the same route back, trekking through Seema and Ruinsara Tal.
Each step down will be a reminder of the journey we’ve just completed.
By evening, we’ll reach Sankri, where we’ll celebrate our successful climb and enjoy a well-earned rest.
We’ll celebrate the night with a warm meal and lots of fun and dance.
In case of any unforeseen delays, weather issues, or other challenges, Day 16 will be kept as a reserve day to ensure we stay on track with the schedule.
This day will only be used if absolutely necessary.

Weather Considerations:
Black Peak has cold weather with heavy snowfall in winters and mild summers. The best time to trek is from May to October when the weather is more favorable and accessible.
Trekking Difficulty:
The trek to Black Peak is challenging and requires a high level of fitness. Be prepared for steep ascents and rugged terrain, and ensure you have the right gear for this high-altitude trek.
Pack Appropriately:
Bring warm, layered clothing, proper trekking boots, and rain gear. It’s also essential to carry sufficient food, water, and safety equipment, as the trek is remote.
