This 5 day journey connects Lumbini, Pokhara, and Kathmandu in a smooth and well paced circuit starting and ending at Gorakhpur. It blends Buddhist heritage, Himalayan scenery, sacred temples, lakeside evenings, and cultural exploration. On arrival at Gorakhpur Railway Station or Airport, a SkyHike representative will receive you and assist with your transfer. After a short briefing about the journey ahead, you begin your drive towards Nepal.
The drive covers approximately 350 km in total, including sightseeing in Lumbini. After crossing the Indo Nepal border, the surroundings gradually change into quieter rural landscapes.
You first explore Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. You will visit Mayadevi Temple, marking the exact birthplace, followed by the Ashoka Pillar, erected in ancient times to commemorate this sacred location.
You may also visit the World Peace Pagoda, Myanmar Golden Temple, China Temple, and Lumbini Museum, each representing different Buddhist traditions.
After completing sightseeing, continue your drive towards Pokhara. The evening is kept relaxed. You may take a short walk near the hotel area or rest after the long travel day.

After breakfast, you begin a full day of exploration in Pokhara, one of Nepal’s most scenic cities.
You will visit Devi’s Fall, a powerful waterfall that disappears into an underground tunnel. Right opposite is Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave, where a sacred Shiva lingam is located inside the limestone cave system.
Next, you visit Bindhyabasini Temple, an important local shrine dedicated to Goddess Durga. From there, you proceed to Seti River Gorge, where the river cuts deep through narrow rock formations.
You will also explore Mahendra Cave and Bat Cave, both naturally formed limestone caves.
Later in the afternoon, you visit Barahi Temple located in the middle of Phewa Lake. A boat ride can be arranged at additional cost. The reflection of surrounding hills in the lake creates a peaceful atmosphere.
Optional adventure activities such as paragliding or bungee jumping are available at additional cost for those interested.
Evening is free for leisure by the lakeside, where cafes and small markets are located.

Distance: ~210 km | Travel Time: ~7–8 hrs
After breakfast, you begin your drive to Kathmandu. The journey covers around 210 km and usually takes 7 to 8 hours including stops.
En route, you visit Manakamana Temple, dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati. The temple is located on a hilltop and is accessible via cable car ride at additional cost. Devotees believe that sincere wishes are fulfilled here.
The drive then continues through scenic mountain roads with views of river valleys, terraced fields, and distant Himalayan peaks including Annapurna and Manaslu ranges on clear days.
By evening, you arrive in Kathmandu and check into your hotel. The rest of the evening is for relaxation.

Local Travel: ~30–40 km
After breakfast, you begin exploring the cultural and spiritual landmarks of Kathmandu Valley.
You first visit Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most sacred temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated on the banks of the Bagmati River, it is an important pilgrimage site for Hindus worldwide.
Next, you visit Guheshwari Devi Temple, an important Shaktipeeth located near Pashupatinath.
Continue to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world and a UNESCO heritage site. The stupa is surrounded by prayer wheels and monasteries.
You will also visit Jalnarayan Temple (Budhanilkantha), where Lord Vishnu is depicted reclining on a serpent in a water pond.
Later, visit Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple. Located on a hilltop, it offers panoramic views of the entire Kathmandu valley.
If time permits, you may visit Bhaktapur or Patan Durbar Square, known for ancient palaces, temples, and traditional architecture.
Return to hotel in the evening.

Distance: ~333 km | Travel Time: ~9–10 hrs
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your return drive to Gorakhpur.
The journey covers approximately 333 km via Narayanghat and Bharatpur. The drive usually takes 9 to 10 hours including comfort breaks and border formalities.
On arrival in Gorakhpur, you will be dropped at Railway Station or Airport as per your departure schedule.
