Itinerary

Day 1 Day 1: Arrival in Aru (Drive 757 Km, 15 Hrs)
  • Welcome to your Tarsar Marsar trek with Skyhike! We’ll begin our journey today with a 3.5-hour drive from Srinagar to Aru.
  • We'll pick you up in our private vehicle, ensuring a comfortable journey through the scenic landscapes of Kashmir. Enjoy the sights of the River Lidder as we pass through Pahalgam, a charming town known for its lush greenery and gentle river streams.
  • By evening, we’ll arrive in Aru, where you'll check into a cozy hotel room provided by Skyhike. Take a leisurely stroll around the village to meet locals and soak up the serene surroundings. In the evening, we’ll brief you on the trek details and ensure you’re well-prepared for the days ahead.
  • Enjoy a hearty meal prepared by us and then settle in for a restful night, ready for your adventure.
Day 2 Day 2: Trek from Aru to Lidderwat (Trek 10 Km, 6 Hrs)
  • Rise early to a warm breakfast as we prepare for the day’s 10 km trek, which will take approximately 6 hours.
  • Our trek will follow the River Lidder, leading us gently uphill through a village where you’ll be greeted by breathtaking mountain and river views.
  • We’ll then enter a dense fir forest and come upon Dalla, a serene clearing near traditional Gujjar huts. Here, you’ll be welcomed by friendly locals.
  • Continuing onward, we’ll hike through thick pine forests, cross streams, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings until we reach Lidderwat, a beautiful campsite surrounded by natural beauty.
  • At the campsite, we’ll set up our tents while you enjoy some snacks.
  • Later, a locally inspired vegetarian dinner will be served to complete your evening before a restful night’s sleep under the stars.
Day 3 Day 3: Trek from Lidderwat to Shekiwas (Trek 5.6 Km, 5 Hrs)
  • After breakfast, we’ll pack for today’s 5.6 km trek, which will take around 5 hours. Be sure to pack energy snacks such as nuts or bars for the trail.
  • Our journey begins along the River Lidder, leading us into a pine forest before emerging into expansive grasslands. Pause to take in the view of snow-patched peaks rising around you.
  • We’ll take a break at a Gujjar hut, where you can enjoy tea and light snacks and observe the locals' simple lives.
  • As we continue, the trek leads us to Shekiwas, an enchanting meadow surrounded by dark, imposing mountains.
  • We’ll set up camp here, where you’ll unwind with a meal around a campfire before retiring to your tent for the night.
Day 4 Day 4: Trek from Shekiwas to Tarsar (Trek 5Km, 3-4 Hrs)
  • Fuel up with a wholesome breakfast as we gear up for today’s 5 km trek to Tarsar Lake, a hike of around 3-4 hours.
  • Our path winds through grasslands, crosses streams, and climbs ridges with beautiful views of the valley. Eventually, we’ll reach a conical hilltop, where you’ll catch your first glimpse of Tarsar Lake’s almond-shaped, turquoise waters.
  • As the evening approaches, watch the lake take on a mesmerizing hue, reflecting the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
  • We’ll camp here by the lake, letting you explore the surroundings before enjoying a warm, cozy dinner with views of the starlit sky.
Day 5 Day 5: Trek from Tarsar to Sundaresar
  • Start your day with breakfast beside Tarsar Lake and take some time to explore the serene lakeside area.
  • Today’s trek will take us down through shepherds’ trails to a lush valley, where we’ll cross gentle streams and navigate a boulder-strewn path.
  • As we reach a grassy meadow with a picturesque pond reflecting the mountains, pause to admire the stunning scenery.
  • Our journey continues up to a ridge that reveals more breathtaking views before leading us to Sundaresar Lake, where we’ll set up camp for the night.
  • Enjoy dinner by the lake, surrounded by the peaceful beauty of the valley, before resting in your tent.
Day 6 Day 6: Explore Marsar and Trek to Homwas
  • After breakfast, we’ll set out for Marsar Lake, the twin lake to Tarsar.
  • Our 7-hour trek includes some challenging sections, with rocky paths and ridge ascents that offer exhilarating views.
  • Following a descent to Sundaresar and a trek through the lush Jagmargi Valley, we’ll reach Homwas, where our camp will be set up.
  • Relax with a hearty meal and take in the stories and experiences shared from the trek as you unwind for the night.
Day 7 Day 7: Departure from Homwas to Srinagar (Trek 13 Km, 6 Hrs; Drive 101 Km, 2.5 Hrs)
  • As our journey together comes to a close, we’ll start the day with a nourishing breakfast before beginning the 13 km descent to Aru, which will take about 6 hours.
  • Our descent passes through Lidderwat’s pine forests, opening up views of the Kolahoi glacier and giving you time to appreciate the landscapes once more.
  • Upon reaching Aru, our vehicle will be ready to take you back to Srinagar, giving you a chance to reflect on your incredible trek experience with Skyhike.

  • 👉 The passenger names in the booking form should be exactly as per Adhar Card. Sky Hike will not bear any liability for the name change fee if incorrect names and ages have been added at the time of booking.

  • 👉 In case your package needs to be canceled due to any natural calamity, weather conditions, etc. SkyHike reserves the right to deny a refund request in the event of a disaster, depending on the nature of the disaster and its impact on the organization.

  • 👉 Sky Hike reserves the right to modify the itinerary at any point, due to reasons including but not limited to Force Majeure events, strikes, fairs, festivals, weather conditions, traffic problems, cancellation rescheduling, closure of /entry restrictions at a place of visit, etc. While we will do our best to make suitable alternate arrangements, we will not be held liable for any refunds/compensation claims arising out of this.

  • 👉 100.0% of the total Trip/Trek cost will have to be paid 7 days before the Date of Travel.

  • 👉 To confirm your Trek/Trip booking, a 30% advance payment is necessary. Once we receive your deposit, we'll send you a confirmation email with all the details, Invoice & due amount, and payment date.

Cancelation & Refund Policy
  • 👉 If cancellation is made 30 days or more before the Date of Travel, 25% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If cancellation is made between 29 days to 16 days before the date of travel, 50% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If cancellation is made between 7 days to 15 days before the date of travel, 80% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If cancellation is made within 7 days before the date of travel, the total booking cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If payment is not made as per the schedule provided in the first booking confirmation Email, Sky Hike reserves the right to cancel the booking after attempting to get in touch with you. Refunds will be issued as per the package cancellation policy.

  • 👉 Transfer your Trek/Trip (any Trek/Trip, within 2 months of your Date of Travel) to your friend before 15 days of your Date of Travel.

  • 👉 You can only Transfer your Trip or Trek to those friends or People who haven’t booked any trip with us in a given time period. 

  • 👉 70% cash voucher in the form of 'HikeCoin' for any other Trip/Trek for one year, If we are informed before 20 days of the date of travel. (1 Rupees = 10 HikeCoin)

  • 👉 80% cash voucher in the form of 'HikeCoin' for the same Trip/Trek for one year. If we are informed 20 days before the date of travel, (1 Rupee = 10 HikeCoin)

  • 👉 The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.

Child Policy
  • 👉 We recommend avoiding going on adventure trips with young children below the age of 7 years including Dham Yatra. The Dham Yatra has a demanding itinerary that can be challenging for young children.

  • 👉 Children under 5 years old are free of charge. However, Please note that this typically applies to one child per paying adult. Additional children under 5 Y/O may require a separate seat or pay a discounted fare.

  • 👉 Children between 6 and 12 years old will be charged 70% of the adult travel cost (per person).

  • 👉 Children 13 years and older will be charged the full adult travel cost.

  • 👉 Please be sure to provide the accurate age of all traveling children at the time of booking.

  • 👉 Documentation proving a child's age may be required during check-in (e.g., birth certificate, Adhar Card/Passport).

Sheikh ul-Alam International Airport (SXR): The easiest and quickest way to reach Srinagar is by air. The airport is well-connected to major cities in India, such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and more. Many airlines operate regular flights to Srinagar. This Airport is 15 kilometers away from the city.

By Train
Closest Railway Station: The nearest major railway station is Jammu Tawi (JAT), located about 250 km from Srinagar. From Jammu, you can take a taxi, bus, or shared cab to reach Srinagar.

J&K State Road Transport Corporation (JKSRTC): Buses run by J&K State Road Transport Corporation (JKSRTC) and private operators are available from Delhi/ Chandigarh/ Jammu/ Amritsar/ Pathankot to Srinagar.
