Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Dehradun | Transfer to Gangotri

Welcome to Dehradun! Upon arriving at Dehradun Airport/Railway Station, board the transfer to Gangotri. On the way, enjoy the beauty of the surroundings and views of scenic landmarks like Moriana Top, Landour, and others. Upon reaching, check in at your accommodation. After relaxing for some time, you can explore the town at your leisure and see the famous Gangotri Temple along with Gaumukh Shiva Temple. Later, return to your inn on your own for an overnight stay.

Day 2 Acclimatisation Day in Gangotri

Since you are at an altitude of 3,415 meters, adjusting to the high elevation is essential. Hence, your today's day is dedicated to acclimatization. You can relax for the day or explore the area at your own pace by visiting one of the most serene places, Surya Kund. You can also spend time at peaceful Ganga Ghants, and the iconic Pandava Gufa. Later, return to the accommodation on your own for an overnight stay.

Day 3 Trek from Gangotri to Bhojbasa

Prepare yourself for a long day of trekking as you will cover the trail from Gangotri to Bhojbasa. The trail passes through the dense forests and scenic valleys, leading you to the checkpoint, where you'll get the trek permits. After that, you'll cover a trail through conifer forests that will lead you to Chirbasa, a popular spot for bird lovers. Continue the journey to Bhojbasa, passing through several wooden bridges, and upon arrival, settle in to your inns for an overnight stay.

Day 4 Trek from Bhojbasa to Tapovan

Wake up to the view of stunning surroundings at Bhojbasa and prepare yourself for a wonderful journey to Tapovan, known for its serene surroundings and spiritual significance. Trek through lush pastures and rocky terrain, soaking in the serene beauty of the high peaks and lush green valleys. Continuing ahead, cross the Bhagirathi River with the help of a cable trolley, adding excitement to the journey. Soon, you'll reach Tapovan and upon arriving, settle in to your inn for an overnight stay.

Day 5 Trek from Tapovan to Bhojbasa via Gomukh

Get ready to enjoy some of the thrilling moments in the day as you leave the tent and begin your descent towards Bhojbasa. In an hour, you will be at Gaumukh, the highlight of the trip. Enjoy a refreshing meal here and admire the views of the scenic surroundings. Afterwards, continue the journey towards Bhojbasa and upon arriving, settle in to your accommodation for an overnight stay.

Day 6 Trek from Bhojbasa to Gangotri

Get ready for a journey back to Gangotri, making the end of your trek. Pass through various wooden bridges and forested areas, remembering the journey you covered and the experiences you had. Around the evening, you'll reach Gangotri and upon arrival, check-in at your accommodation. You can spend the evening exploring the market for souvenirs and try local food. Later, return to the inn on your own for an overnight stay.

Day 7 Tranfer to Dehradun | Departure Day

Say goodbye to the serene surroundings and high Himalayan peaks. Board the transfer from the accommodation to Dehradun Airport/Railway Station to take your transfer back home.

Know Before You Go
  • ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. PAN card will not be considered valid address proof.
  • Climatic conditions in high altitudes vary from the plains; takes adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.
  • The trek takes place through an eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites. Travelers littering may be fined.
  • Do not encourage trekking during the night unless it is a part of the itinerary and a guide is with you; this might lead to unforeseen mishaps.
  • Avoid using plastic bags and maintain the ecological balance of the destinations.
  • Mobile & laptop charging points may/may not be available on campsites at a common point.
  • Carry dry snacks/food from home (you will save a lot of money). Carry water bottles with you, so that you can refill
  • Keep your luggage minimum; the more you carry, the more you hassle.
  • Children below the age of 7 years are not recommended for this trek.
  • It is recommended to carry enough warm clothes and the right kind of shoes for the Gangotri Gomukh trek.
  • Avoid using earphones during the Gomukh Glacier trek, this might hinder your audibility.
  • Carry basic medications and a first-aid kit during the trek.
  • All the activities depend upon the weather and electricity may be available only at a few locations.

Payment & Confirmation Policies
  • 👉 100.0% of the total Trip/Trek cost will have to be paid 7 days before the Date of Travel.

  • 👉 To confirm your Trek/Trip booking, a 30% advance payment is necessary. Once we receive your deposit, we'll send you a confirmation email with all the details, Invoice & due amount, and payment date.

Cancelation & Refund Policy
  • 👉 If cancellation is made 30 days or more before the Date of Travel, 25% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If cancellation is made between 29 days to 16 days before the date of travel, 50% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If cancellation is made between 7 days to 15 days before the date of travel, 80% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If cancellation is made within 7 days before the date of travel, the total booking cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If payment is not made as per the schedule provided in the first booking confirmation Email, Sky Hike reserves the right to cancel the booking after attempting to get in touch with you. Refunds will be issued as per the package cancellation policy.

  • 👉 Transfer your Trek/Trip (any Trek/Trip, within 2 months of your Date of Travel) to your friend before 15 days of your Date of Travel.

  • 👉 You can only Transfer your Trip or Trek to those friends or People who haven’t booked any trip with us in a given time period. 

  • 👉 70% cash voucher in the form of 'HikeCoin' for any other Trip/Trek for one year, If we are informed before 20 days of the date of travel. (1 Rupees = 10 HikeCoin)

  • 👉 80% cash voucher in the form of 'HikeCoin' for the same Trip/Trek for one year. If we are informed 20 days before the date of travel, (1 Rupee = 10 HikeCoin)

  • 👉 The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.

Child Policy
  • 👉 We recommend avoiding going on adventure trips with young children below the age of 7 years including Dham Yatra. The Dham Yatra has a demanding itinerary that can be challenging for young children.

  • 👉 Children under 5 years old are free of charge. However, Please note that this typically applies to one child per paying adult. Additional children under 5 Y/O may require a separate seat or pay a discounted fare.

  • 👉 Children between 6 and 12 years old will be charged 70% of the adult travel cost (per person).

  • 👉 Children 13 years and older will be charged the full adult travel cost.

  • 👉 Please be sure to provide the accurate age of all traveling children at the time of booking.

  • 👉 Documentation proving a child's age may be required during check-in (e.g., birth certificate, Adhar Card/Passport).

  • 👉 While entering passenger names during the booking process, Do ensure that they exactly match the names on the travel documents (e.g. Aadhar Crad/PAN card/ Passport/Voter ID card/Any Identity Card) that you will be carrying for the Trip/Trek.

  • 👉 The passenger names in the booking form should be exactly as per Adhar Card. Sky Hike will not bear any liability for the name change fee if incorrect names and ages have been added at the time of booking.

  • 👉 In case your package needs to be canceled due to any natural calamity, weather conditions, etc. SkyHike reserves the right to deny a refund request in the event of a disaster, depending on the nature of the disaster and its impact on the organization.

  • 👉 Sky Hike reserves the right to modify the itinerary at any point, due to reasons including but not limited to Force Majeure events, strikes, fairs, festivals, weather conditions, traffic problems, cancellation rescheduling, closure of /entry restrictions at a place of visit, etc. While we will do our best to make suitable alternate arrangements, we will not be held liable for any refunds/compensation claims arising out of this.
