Itinerary

Day 1 Day 1: Arrival at Guwahati and Overnight at Shillong
  • We’ll start our journey by meeting at the Guwahati Airport, where we’ll begin the adventure together.
     

  • After a warm welcome with SkyHike representative and fellow tourists, we’ll head straight to Shillong.
     

  • On the way, we’ll stop at Umiam Lake View Point for some stunning views of the serene waters and surrounding mountains.

  • This is a perfect spot for relaxation and clicking some great insta worthy pictures.
     

  • Then we’ll drive to Shillong. Once we reach Shillong, you’ll have time to explore the local market and grab some souvenirs.
     

  • Check into your accommodation, relax, and get ready for the next day's journey.
     

  • Overnight stay in Shillong, where you will enjoy a warm dinner with everyone else.

 

Day 2 Day 2: Drive from Shillong to Cherrapunjee
  • Rise and shine for another thrilling day!
     

  • We’ll start our journey to the Laitlum Grand Canyon, a spot that offers breathtaking panoramic views of Meghalaya’s valleys.
     

  • After soaking in the beauty, we’ll head to the Lyngksiar Waterfalls, where the cascading waters create a serene atmosphere.
     

  • Next, we’ll visit Arwah Cave, a place full of mystery and charm that will leave you awestruck by its natural formations.
     

  • In the afternoon, we’ll make our way to Cherrapunjee and visit Nohkalikai Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in India.
     

  • After the sightseeing, we’ll check in and enjoy a relaxing evening.
     

  • Dinner and overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.

 

Day 3 Day 3: Explore Single Root Bridge and Double Decker Bridge
  • Get ready for a day filled with exciting treks today.
     

  • After breakfast, we’ll head towards Tyrna Village to begin our trek to the famous Single Root Bridge, a unique structure made from the roots of living trees.
     

  • From there, we’ll continue our trek to the Double Decker Bridge, an astonishing feat of nature and human ingenuity.
     

  • The trek is a bit challenging but completely rewarding with stunning views along the way.
     

  • After completing the trek, we’ll return to Cherrapunjee for a well-deserved rest and warm meal.
     

  • Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.

 

Day 4 Day 4: Explore Mawsmai Cave and Mawlynnong Village
  • After breakfast, we’ll explore the fascinating Mawsmai Caves, a hidden gem in the region with its mesmerizing limestone formations.
     

  • Next, we’ll visit Mawlynnong, Asia's cleanest village, and take a stroll through its well-maintained streets while enjoying the local vibe.
     

  • In the afternoon, we’ll head towards Shnongpdeng, known for its crystal-clear Umngot River.
     

  • Check into the riverside camps, where you’ll be surrounded by nature’s beauty.
     

  • We’ll gather around a bonfire in the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner, and camp under the stars.

 

Day 5 Day 5: Explore Water Sports and Phe-Phe Waterfall
  • The day begins with a hearty breakfast, followed by a morning filled with water sports activities on the Umngot River.
     

  • From boating to enjoying the calm waters, this day is all about relaxing and having fun.
     

  • After lunch, we’ll head back towards Shillong, but not before stopping at the beautiful Phe-Phe Waterfall to enjoy its natural beauty.
     

  • Once we reach Shillong, we’ll have some free time to explore the local market and enjoy the local culture.
     

  • Overnight stay at Shillong.

 

Day 6 Day 6: Departure to Guwahati
  • After a final breakfast, we’ll head back towards Umiam Lake for one last peaceful moment by the water.
     

  • It’s a perfect place to reflect on your journey and take some final photos before we depart for Guwahati.
     

  • From there, we’ll drive to Guwahati Airport, where your adventure comes to an end.

    Meghalaya’s weather is cool and temperate. Best time to visit is from October to April. Avoid the monsoon season (June to September) due to heavy rainfall.

  • Book Early:
    During peak seasons (October-March), book accommodations in advance, especially in popular spots like Shillong and Cherrapunjee. SkyHike will take care of this!

  • Pack for Adventure:

  • 👉 While entering passenger names during the booking process, Do ensure that they exactly match the names on the travel documents (e.g. Aadhar Crad/PAN card/ Passport/Voter ID card/Any Identity Card) that you will be carrying for the Trip/Trek.

  • 👉 The passenger names in the booking form should be exactly as per Adhar Card. Sky Hike will not bear any liability for the name change fee if incorrect names and ages have been added at the time of booking.

  • 👉 In case your package needs to be canceled due to any natural calamity, weather conditions, etc. SkyHike reserves the right to deny a refund request in the event of a disaster, depending on the nature of the disaster and its impact on the organization.

  • 👉 Sky Hike reserves the right to modify the itinerary at any point, due to reasons including but not limited to Force Majeure events, strikes, fairs, festivals, weather conditions, traffic problems, cancellation rescheduling, closure of /entry restrictions at a place of visit, etc. While we will do our best to make suitable alternate arrangements, we will not be held liable for any refunds/compensation claims arising out of this.

Payment & Confirmation Policies
  • 👉 100.0% of the total Trip/Trek cost will have to be paid 7 days before the Date of Travel.

  • 👉 To confirm your Trek/Trip booking, a 30% advance payment is necessary. Once we receive your deposit, we'll send you a confirmation email with all the details, Invoice & due amount, and payment date.

Cancelation & Refund Policy
  • 👉 If cancellation is made 30 days or more before the Date of Travel, 25% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If cancellation is made between 29 days to 16 days before the date of travel, 50% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If cancellation is made between 7 days to 15 days before the date of travel, 80% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If cancellation is made within 7 days before the date of travel, the total booking cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If payment is not made as per the schedule provided in the first booking confirmation Email, Sky Hike reserves the right to cancel the booking after attempting to get in touch with you. Refunds will be issued as per the package cancellation policy.

  • 👉 Transfer your Trek/Trip (any Trek/Trip, within 2 months of your Date of Travel) to your friend before 15 days of your Date of Travel.

  • 👉 You can only Transfer your Trip or Trek to those friends or People who haven’t booked any trip with us in a given time period. 

  • 👉 70% cash voucher in the form of 'HikeCoin' for any other Trip/Trek for one year, If we are informed before 20 days of the date of travel. (1 Rupees = 10 HikeCoin)

  • 👉 80% cash voucher in the form of 'HikeCoin' for the same Trip/Trek for one year. If we are informed 20 days before the date of travel, (1 Rupee = 10 HikeCoin)

  • 👉 The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.

Child Policy
  • 👉 We recommend avoiding going on adventure trips with young children below the age of 7 years including Dham Yatra. The Dham Yatra has a demanding itinerary that can be challenging for young children.

  • 👉 Children under 5 years old are free of charge. However, Please note that this typically applies to one child per paying adult. Additional children under 5 Y/O may require a separate seat or pay a discounted fare.

  • 👉 Children between 6 and 12 years old will be charged 70% of the adult travel cost (per person).

  • 👉 Children 13 years and older will be charged the full adult travel cost.

  • 👉 Please be sure to provide the accurate age of all traveling children at the time of booking.

  • 👉 Documentation proving a child's age may be required during check-in (e.g., birth certificate, Adhar Card/Passport).
