Itinerary

Day 1 Day 1: Departure from Delhi to Shimla (Drive 339 Km, 7 Hrs) and from Shimla to Sangla/Chitkul (Drive 672 Km, 18 Hrs)
  • Your journey begins with excitement as we depart from Delhi in a comfortable private vehicle in the late evening.
  • We’ll be traveling overnight towards Shimla, allowing you to rest up during the drive.
  • Catch some sleep or enjoy the views as we make our way to the mountains.
  • We’ll arrive in Shimla the next morning, refreshed and ready to start the adventure.
  • After a light breakfast on the way, we hit the road and head towards the beautiful villages of Sangla or Chitkul, driving through breathtaking landscapes.
  • We’ll reach your hotel by late afternoon, where you can settle into your room and unwind after the journey.
  • Once you’ve had some time to relax, we’ll have a quick briefing about the adventures waiting for you in the days ahead.
  • That night, you’ll enjoy a warm dinner at the hotel, followed by a special New Year's Eve celebration.
  • After celebrating the night away, you’ll sleep soundly in your cozy room.
Day 2 Day 2: Sangla to Tabo via Nako & Ka Loops (Drive 186 Km, 4-5 Hrs)
  • Wake up to a chilly mountain morning and enjoy a hearty breakfast before we continue the adventure.
  • Today, we’ll set off towards Spiti Valley, entering through the Sumdo Border.
  • We’ll stop at Nako Village, where you can stretch your legs, admire the beautiful frozen lake, and take in the serene surroundings.
  • Afterward, we continue our drive through the thrilling Ka Loops, a series of winding roads with stunning views.
  • By evening, we’ll arrive in Tabo, where you’ll be welcomed into a charming homestay.
  • Dinner will be served in the warmth of the homestay, and afterward, you can retire to your room for a peaceful night’s sleep.
Day 3 Day 3: Tabo to Kaza via Dhankar Monastery (Drive 48 Km, 1.5 Hrs)
  • After an early breakfast at the homestay, we’ll start the day with a visit to Tabo Monastery, the oldest and one of the most significant monasteries in Spiti Valley, located around 45 minutes (approx. 45 km) from Kaza.
  • Take some time to soak in the peaceful atmosphere of the monastery, renowned for its ancient murals and spiritual significance.
  • Next, we’ll drive to Dhankar Village, which is about an hour away (approx. 30 km). There, we’ll visit the Dhankar Monastery, perched dramatically on a cliff with stunning views of the confluence of the Spiti and Pin Rivers.
  • After exploring Dhankar, we’ll continue our drive to Kaza, which is a 1.5-hour drive (approx. 60 km). Upon arrival in Kaza, you’ll check into a local homestay, where you’ll be welcomed with warmth and comfort.
  • Enjoy a delicious dinner at the homestay, prepared with local ingredients, and unwind in the cozy atmosphere before heading to your room for a restful night.
Day 4 Day 4: Visit Key Monastery, Chicham Bridge, and Kibber
  • Wake up to a crisp Spiti morning and fuel up with a hot breakfast at your homestay.
  • Today’s adventure takes us to the iconic Key Monastery, located about 30 minutes (approx. 20 km) from Kaza. This stunning sight, surrounded by snow-covered peaks, is a must-visit.
  • We’ll spend some time exploring the monastery and soaking in its peaceful atmosphere before heading to our next destination.
  • Next, we’ll drive to Chicham Bridge, the highest suspension bridge in Asia, which is approximately a 30-minute drive (approx. 20 km) from Key Monastery. The views from the bridge are jaw-dropping, so be sure to have your camera ready!
  • After taking in the sights, we’ll visit Kibber Village, known for its incredible wildlife and the occasional sighting of snow leopards. Kibber is about 30 minutes away (approx. 20 km) from Chicham Bridge, allowing us to enjoy the scenic route.
  • By evening, we’ll return to Kaza, where a delicious dinner awaits at your homestay, prepared with local flavors.
  • After a fulfilling day of exploration, you can relax and retire for the night in the comfort of your homestay.
Day 5 Day 5: Explore Langza, Komik & Hikkim Villages
  • After breakfast at your homestay, we’ll set out to explore some of Spiti’s most famous and fascinating villages.
  • Our first stop is Langza, known as the “fossil village.” It’s about a 30-minute drive (approx. 15 km) from Kaza. Here, you can find ancient marine fossils and visit the iconic Buddha statue, all while being surrounded by stunning white peaks.
  • From Langza, we’ll drive to Hikkim, which is around a 30-minute journey (approx. 14 km) away. Hikkim is home to the world’s highest post office, so make sure to send a postcard to your loved ones from this unique spot!
  • Lastly, we’ll visit Komik, the highest village in the world accessible by a motorable road. The drive from Hikkim to Komik takes about 20 minutes (approx. 10 km), where you can immerse yourself in the culture and breathtaking landscapes of the area.
  • After an amazing day of exploration, we’ll return to Kaza, which is approximately a 30-minute drive (approx. 18 km) back.
  • A delicious dinner awaits at your homestay, prepared with local flavors. After a fulfilling day, you can relax and enjoy another restful night in your cozy accommodation.
Day 6 Day 6: Departure to Rampur (Drive 825 Km, 17-18 Hrs)
  • It’s time to say goodbye to Kaza after a fulfilling stay.
  • After enjoying breakfast at your homestay, we’ll check out and begin our journey towards Rampur.
  • The drive will take approximately 8 to 9 hours and cover a distance of around 160 kilometers, giving you a final opportunity to take in Spiti’s awe-inspiring landscapes along the way.
  • As we travel, you can soak in the stunning views of the mountains and valleys one last time.
  • We’ll arrive in Rampur by evening, where you’ll check into a comfortable hotel for the night. The hotel offers cozy accommodations, ensuring you have a restful stay.
  • Enjoy a relaxing dinner at the hotel, featuring local cuisine. After your meal, you can unwind in your room and enjoy a good night’s sleep, reflecting on the wonderful memories made during your journey.
Day 7 Day 7: Rampur to Shimla (Drive 517 Km, 10 Hrs)
  • After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll check out and start our leisurely drive back towards Shimla.
  • The journey will take approximately 7 to 8 hours, covering around 340 kilometers, providing you with plenty of scenic views to enjoy along the way. You’ll have time to soak in the last moments of your mountain adventure as we pass through charming villages and lush landscapes.
  • Once we reach Shimla in the evening, we’ll board a comfortable private vehicle for an overnight journey back to Delhi.
  • You’ll have the chance to relax during the ride and reflect on the unforgettable memories from your trip.
  • Dinner will be arranged before we begin our journey, ensuring you have a satisfying meal to enjoy.
Day 8 Day 8: Arrive in Delhi
  • We’ll arrive in Delhi around 8:00 AM, bringing our incredible journey to a close.
  • Throughout the trip, you’ll have created cherished memories, captured beautiful photos, and gathered stories to share for years to come.
  • Before we part ways, we’ll enjoy a final breakfast, ensuring you’re well-fed for your journey ahead.

Know Before You Go
  1. Plan carefully and obtain necessary permits, especially for foreign nationals, as Spiti Valley is a restricted area, and Inner Line Permits are required.
  2. Acclimatize to high altitudes (average 12,000-14,000 ft) by spending a day or two in Manali or Kaza before starting the trek to minimize the risk of acute mountain sickness.
  3. Prepare for extreme weather conditions, including snow, cold temperatures (-20°C to -30°C), and limited infrastructure, by packing warm clothing, waterproof gear, and emergency supplies.

Terms & Conditions

👉 While entering passenger names during the booking process, Do ensure that they exactly match the names on the travel documents (e.g. Aadhar Crad/PAN card/ Passport/Voter ID card/Any Identity Card) that you will be carrying for the Trip/Trek.

👉 The passenger names in the booking form should be exactly as per Adhar Card. Sky Hike will not bear any liability for the name change fee if incorrect names and ages have been added at the time of booking.

👉 In case your package needs to be canceled due to any natural calamity, weather conditions, etc. SkyHike reserves the right to deny a refund request in the event of a disaster, depending on the nature of the disaster and its impact on the organization.

👉 Sky Hike reserves the right to modify the itinerary at any point, due to reasons including but not limited to Force Majeure events, strikes, fairs, festivals, weather conditions, traffic problems, cancellation rescheduling, closure of /entry restrictions at a place of visit, etc. While we will do our best to make suitable alternate arrangements, we will not be held liable for any refunds/compensation claims arising out of this.

 

Payment Policies

👉 100.0% of the total Trip/Trek cost will have to be paid 7 days before the Date of Travel.

👉 To confirm your Trek/Trip booking, a 30% advance payment is necessary. Once we receive your deposit, we'll send you a confirmation email with all the details, Invoice & due amount, and payment date.

 

Cancelation & Refund Policy

👉 If cancellation is made 30 days or more before the Date of Travel, 25% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

👉 If cancellation is made between 29 days to 16 days before the date of travel, 50% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

👉 If cancellation is made between 7 days to 15 days before the date of travel, 80% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

👉 If cancellation is made within 7 days before the date of travel, the total booking cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

👉 If payment is not made as per the schedule provided in the first booking confirmation Email, Sky Hike reserves the right to cancel the booking after attempting to get in touch with you. Refunds would be as per the package Cancellation policy.

👉 Transfer your Trek/Trip (any Trek/Trip, within 2 months of your Date of Travel) to your friend before 15 days of your Date of Travel.

👉 70% cash voucher in the form of 'HikeCoin' for any other Trip/Trek for one year, If we are informed before 20 days of the date of travel. (1 Rupees = 10 HikeCoin)

👉 80% cash voucher in the form of 'HikeCoin' for the same Trip/Trek for one year. If we are informed before 20 days of the date of travel. (1 Rupee = 10 HikeCoin)

👉 The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.

 

Child Policy

👉 We recommend avoiding going on adventure trips with young children below the age of 7 years including Dham Yatra. The Dham Yatra has a demanding itinerary that can be challenging for young children.

👉 Children under 5 years old are free of charge. However, Please note that this typically applies to one child per paying adult. Additional children under 5 Y/O may require a separate seat or pay a discounted fare.

👉 Children between 6 and 12 years old will be charged 70% of the adult travel cost (per person).

👉 Children 13 years and older will be charged the full adult travel cost.

👉 Please be sure to provide the accurate age of all traveling children at the time of booking.

👉 Documentation proving a child's age may be required during check-in (e.g., birth certificate, Adhar Card/Passport).
