Itinerary

Day 1 Haridwar to Joshimath (Drive 275 Km, 8-9 Hours)
  • Begin your adventure early in the morning from the Haridwar.
  • Traverse through the breathtaking landscapes of the Himalayas, passing through Rishikesh and Devprayag. Enjoy the changing views as you drive along the Alaknanda River.
  • The journey covers approximately 285 kilometers and takes around 8-9 hours.
  • Reach Joshimath, a charming town nestled in the Himalayas, and check into your hotel.
  • Enjoy a hearty meal at your hotel and get a good night's sleep, as the next day you embark on a thrilling journey to Govindghat & Trek to Ghangaria
Day 2 Joshimath to Govindghat & Trek to Ghangaria (Drive 16 Km, 1-2 Hours, Trek 9 Km, 4-5 Hours)
  • Morning: Enjoy a satisfying breakfast at your hotel in Joshimath
  • Drive to Govindghat: Take a short drive from Joshimath to Govindghat, the starting point of the trek to Ghangaria
  • Trek to Ghangaria: Begin your trek from Govindghat to Ghangaria. The trek is approximately 9 kilometers and can take around 4-5 hours. The trail offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys
  • Arrival in Ghangaria: Reach the picturesque village of Ghangaria and check into your hotel
  • Dinner: Relish a meal at your hotel and unwind after your day of trekking
Day 3 Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers & Return (Trek 3.7 Km, 3-4 Hours One Way)
  • Begin your journey to the Valley of Flowers, ascending to an altitude of 3,505m, where you'll be greeted by a vibrant tapestry of thousands of blooming flowers.
  • Take in the breathtaking scenery, but ensure you start your return trek to Ghangaria in time to arrive before dusk.
  • Descend from the Valley of Flowers, enjoying a peaceful trek back to the quaint village of Ghangaria.
  • The trail meanders through enchanting forests, with sunlight piercing the canopy, creating a stunning play of light and shadow on the forest floor.
  • Complete your trek back to Ghangaria before sunset, allowing time to explore and enjoy the surrounding beauty.
Day 4 Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib and Back (Trek 6 kmeach way , 4-5 hours)
  • Embark on a spiritual journey from Ghangharia to Hemkund Sahib, soaking in the serene beauty of the Himalayas.
  • Move at a relaxed pace with frequent breaks, as the altitude brings noticeable changes in oxygen levels.
  • Arrive at Hemkund Sahib, a revered pilgrimage site where Guru Gobind Singh is believed to have meditated in a past life.
  • Marvel at the tranquil Hemkund Lake, surrounded by seven majestic snow-covered peaks, creating a breathtaking and peaceful atmosphere.
  • Begin your descent back to Ghangaria in the late afternoon, navigating the steep mountain paths.
  • Enjoy the descent through lush landscapes adorned with rhododendron blooms and towering pine trees, offering a picturesque setting.
  • Take moments to appreciate the panoramic views along the way, each turn revealing a fresh perspective of the grand Himalayan scenery you encountered earlier.
Day 5 Ghangaria to Govindghat, Drive to Joshimath (Trek 9 km, 4-5 hours; Drive 16 km, 1 hour)
  • Morning Trek: Trek back from Ghangaria to Govindghat.
  • Drive: Take a short drive from Govindghat to Joshimath.
  • Lunch: Enjoy a packed lunch during the trek.
  • Evening: Check into your hotel in Joshimath, and relax with dinner at the hotel.
Day 6 Joshimath to Haridwar (Drive 275 km, 8-9 hours)
  • Morning Departure: Start your journey back to Haridwar early in the morning.
  • Scenic Drive: Relish the last views of the majestic Himalayas as you make your way back.
  • Arrival: Arrive in Haridwar by evening and conclude your trek with wonderful memories of the Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib.

  • 👉 While entering passenger names during the booking process, Do ensure that they exactly match the names on the travel documents (e.g. Aadhar Crad/PAN card/ Passport/Voter ID card/Any Identity Card) that you will be carrying for the Trip/Trek.

  • 👉 The passenger names in the booking form should be exactly as per Adhar Card. Sky Hike will not bear any liability for the name change fee if incorrect names and ages have been added at the time of booking.

  • 👉 In case your package needs to be canceled due to any natural calamity, weather conditions, etc. SkyHike reserves the right to deny a refund request in the event of a disaster, depending on the nature of the disaster and its impact on the organization.

  • 👉 Sky Hike reserves the right to modify the itinerary at any point, due to reasons including but not limited to Force Majeure events, strikes, fairs, festivals, weather conditions, traffic problems, cancellation rescheduling, closure of /entry restrictions at a place of visit, etc. While we will do our best to make suitable alternate arrangements, we will not be held liable for any refunds/compensation claims arising out of this.

Payment & Confirmation Policies
  • 👉 100.0% of the total Trip/Trek cost will have to be paid 7 days before the Date of Travel.

  • 👉 To confirm your Trek/Trip booking, a 30% advance payment is necessary. Once we receive your deposit, we'll send you a confirmation email with all the details, Invoice & due amount, and payment date.

Cancelation & Refund Policy
  • 👉 If cancellation is made 30 days or more before the Date of Travel, 25% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If cancellation is made between 29 days to 16 days before the date of travel, 50% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If cancellation is made between 7 days to 15 days before the date of travel, 80% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If cancellation is made within 7 days before the date of travel, the total booking cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If payment is not made as per the schedule provided in the first booking confirmation Email, Sky Hike reserves the right to cancel the booking after attempting to get in touch with you. Refunds will be issued as per the package cancellation policy.

  • 👉 Transfer your Trek/Trip (any Trek/Trip, within 2 months of your Date of Travel) to your friend before 15 days of your Date of Travel.

  • 👉 You can only Transfer your Trip or Trek to those friends or People who haven’t booked any trip with us in a given time period. 

  • 👉 70% cash voucher in the form of 'HikeCoin' for any other Trip/Trek for one year, If we are informed before 20 days of the date of travel. (1 Rupees = 10 HikeCoin)

  • 👉 80% cash voucher in the form of 'HikeCoin' for the same Trip/Trek for one year. If we are informed 20 days before the date of travel, (1 Rupee = 10 HikeCoin)

  • 👉 The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.

Child Policy
  • 👉 We recommend avoiding going on adventure trips with young children below the age of 7 years including Dham Yatra. The Dham Yatra has a demanding itinerary that can be challenging for young children.

  • 👉 Children under 5 years old are free of charge. However, Please note that this typically applies to one child per paying adult. Additional children under 5 Y/O may require a separate seat or pay a discounted fare.

  • 👉 Children between 6 and 12 years old will be charged 70% of the adult travel cost (per person).

  • 👉 Children 13 years and older will be charged the full adult travel cost.

  • 👉 Please be sure to provide the accurate age of all traveling children at the time of booking.

  • 👉 Documentation proving a child's age may be required during check-in (e.g., birth certificate, Adhar Card/Passport).

Haridwar itself doesn't have an airport. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, which is about 52 kilometers away. You can take a flight to Dehradun from major cities in India, and then hire a taxi or cab to reach Haridwar.

By Train: Haridwar Junction Railway Station HW

Haridwar Junction Railway Station is well-connected to major cities across India. Trains are a convenient and budget-friendly option to reach Haridwar. Several express trains connect Haridwar to almost all major cities.

By Bus : Haridwar ISBT
