The adventure begins in Dehradun, where you’ll journey through Joshimath, Guling, and Khulara, each location providing a unique perspective of the mountains and local village life. Enjoy serene campsites surrounded by dense forests and meadows, where you’ll have time to relax and acclimatize before the summit push.
The trek features a climb through rocky ridgelines, lush rhododendron forests, and scenic meadows. When you reach the summit of Pangarchula, the panoramic views of the entire Garhwal range will make every challenging step worth it. After the summit, we descend back to Dhak, and then return to Dehradun, reflecting on this incredible journey. This is an adventure you won’t forget, filled with adventure, natural beauty, and a sense of accomplishment.

Today, we kick things off with a long drive from Dehradun to Joshimath.
We’ll gather in the morning and hit the road early to make sure we reach Joshimath with plenty of time to rest before the trek begins.
The Ganga River will be our constant companion throughout the drive.
Along the way, we’ll pass through the holy city of Rishikesh. It is the yoga capital of the world, and you’ll get glimpses of beautiful wildlife mixed with noisy city culture.
As we ascend into the mountains, we’ll pass by the Panch Prayags, where sacred rivers come together - Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnprayag. All of these are stunning beauties.
By the time we reach Joshimath in the late afternoon, you’ll have experienced an amazing journey.
Settle in for a restful night in a cozy stay and enjoy a peaceful lunch.
Today’s journey starts with a relaxed breakfast before we start.
We’ll board the private vehicle and head to Dhak, the starting point of our trek.
In this short and sweet drive, you’ll get views of Nanda Devi and Pangarchulla peaks.
Once we arrive at Dhak, we’ll begin our trek. The first part of the trail is a gradual ascent through beautiful mountain villages like Kharchi and Tugashi.
As we walk, you’ll get some glimpses of real mountain life filled with love, laughter, and hardships.
We’ll pass by beautiful villages and villagers doing activities.
The terrain is mostly moderate, and after about 2.5 hours of walking, we’ll enter the forest, surrounded by golden and black oak trees.
After the trek, we’ll eventually reach Gulling. Here we’ll set up our tent and have hot food.
After lunch, take a short acclimatization walk to help your body adjust to the altitude.
The night will be spent under cool moonlight while enjoying a warm dinner.
Today is a peaceful day as we trek from Guling to Khulara, following a lovely forest trail.
The morning begins with a quick breakfast, and then we enter the dense oak and pine forests that surround our campsite.
Along the way, we’ll encounter streams and breathtaking views of the mountains, including Himalayan Birch trees. You’ll witness Himalayan flora and fauna.
By the afternoon, we’ll reach Khulara. It is an open plateau with stunning panoramic views of the peaks surrounding us. The view for Khullara is breathtaking.
Here, we’ll set up our camp and spend our time exploring and capturing the place.
Take in the sunset as the mountains glow in the changing light, and enjoy your dinner.
Near the bonfire, we’ll gather for the briefing for the summit push the next day.
We start our day having a cozy breakfast under the warm morning sunshine.
Then, we set off early in the morning towards Kuari Pass, hiking through dense oak and rhododendron forests.
As we climb, we’re greeted with stunning views of snow-capped peaks, including Nanda Devi, Dronagiri, and Hathi Ghoda.
At Kuari Pass, you’ll experience a 360-degree view of the Garhwal Himalayas - an awe-inspiring sight that will stay with you long after the trek.
We’ll take a packed lunch at the pass and enjoy it on our way.
The descent back to Khulara is equally beautiful.
Once back at camp, relax, enjoy dinner and connect with fellow trekkers.
We’ll leave the campsite early in the morning after having a lip-smacking breakfast.
The trail begins with an ascent through rocky terrain with spectacular views of the mountains.
As we climb, we’ll cross meadows, ridgelines, and boulders, with the terrain becoming steeper as we approach the summit.
The final push is a strenuous climb but this will be totally worth it.
Once at the top, the views are worth every bit of effort; the entire Garhwal Range stretches out before you, a breathtaking sight that will fill you with awe.
After taking in the views, we’ll begin the long descent back to Khulara, retracing our steps.
Enjoy an amazing meal and take plenty of rest.
After the long day before, today is a bit easier as we begin our descent back to Joshimath.
We start by having breakfast and then trekking downhill through forests.
After about 3 hours of walking, we’ll arrive at Dhak, where we’ll board a vehicle and drive back to Joshimath.
Once in Joshimath, take some time to explore the town, perhaps visiting local temples or simply relaxing after the trek.
Spend the night in a cozy stay and enjoy a warm dinner.
Today, we make our way back to Dehradun.
After breakfast, we’ll head out for the 10-hour drive back to the city.
While the road is long, it’s a great time to reflect on all the incredible experiences you’ve had.
By late evening, we’ll arrive in Dehradun, where your SkyHike adventure concludes.

Best Time to Visit:
The best time to trek Pangarchulla Peak is from April to June and September to November, when the weather is ideal for trekking. Avoid the monsoon season (July-August) due to heavy rainfall and slippery trails.
Trekking Difficulty:
Pangarchulla Peak is a challenging trek, suitable for experienced trekkers. Be prepared for steep ascents, high-altitude conditions, and rugged terrain.
Packing Essentials:
Bring warm clothing, sturdy trekking boots, a good quality rain jacket, and trekking poles. The weather can be unpredictable, so be prepared for cold temperatures at higher altitudes.
Acclimatization:
Since the trek reaches an altitude of around 4,700 meters, acclimatization is important. Take your time, hydrate, and be mindful of altitude sickness symptoms.
