This 12 day journey connects some of the most important spiritual destinations across India and Nepal. Beginning in Ayodhya, you travel to Lumbini, Pokhara, Kathmandu, Nagarkot, Chitwan, Janakpur, Deoghar, Gaya, and finally Varanasi. The route combines Ramayana sites, Jyotirlingas, Shaktipeeths, Buddhist heritage, Himalayan views, and river ghats. The SkyHike team has structured this itinerary carefully to balance long drives with meaningful temple visits and comfortable stays.
Local Travel: ~15 km
Upon arrival at Ayodhya Airport, the SkyHike team will receive you and transfer you to your hotel. After freshening up and taking some rest, you begin exploring the sacred city associated with Lord Ram.
Your first visit is to Hanuman Garhi, located on a hilltop. Devotees traditionally begin their Ayodhya darshan here. From there, you proceed to Kanak Bhawan, where the idols of Ram and Sita are beautifully adorned in royal attire.
You then visit Shri Nageshwar Nath Temple, believed to have been established by Kush, son of Lord Ram. Later, you spend time at Saryu Ghat, where the river is deeply connected with the Ramayana.
In the evening, you visit Shri Ram Janmabhoomi and Dashrath Mahal, understanding their importance in Hindu tradition.
Return to hotel for dinner and rest.

Distance: ~300 km | Travel Time: 9–10 hrs
After breakfast, you begin a long drive towards Lumbini in Nepal. The journey takes approximately 9 to 10 hours including border formalities.
As you cross into Nepal, the landscape slowly changes into quieter rural stretches and Buddhist influence becomes more visible.
On arrival in Lumbini, you visit the Maya Devi Temple, marking the exact birthplace of Gautam Buddha. You also see the Ashoka Pillar, erected in 249 BCE.
Spend the evening in the peaceful environment of this UNESCO site before returning to your hotel.

Distance: ~175 km | Travel Time: 6–7 hrs
After breakfast, depart for Pokhara. The drive takes you through hills, rivers, and terraced farms typical of Nepal’s countryside.
The 175 km journey takes around 6 to 7 hours. As you approach Pokhara, the Himalayan range begins to appear on clear days.
By evening, check into your hotel and relax.

Local Travel: ~35 km
After breakfast, begin a full day of sightseeing in Pokhara.
You visit Bindhyabasini Temple, one of the oldest temples in the region. Then proceed to Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave and Devi’s Fall.
You also explore Mahendra Cave and observe the Seti Gandaki River, famous for its underground flow.
Later, visit the large Pumdikot Shiva Statue offering panoramic views of Pokhara Valley.
In the afternoon, take a boat ride to Tal Barahi Temple located on an island in Phewa Lake. The calm water and mountain reflections create a peaceful setting.
Return to hotel in the evening.

Distance: ~205 km | Travel Time: 7–8 hrs
After breakfast, begin your drive to Kathmandu. On the way, stop at Manakamana Temple. Devotees believe Goddess Bhagwati fulfills wishes here. Ropeway access is available at additional cost.
Continue the drive through winding Himalayan roads towards Kathmandu.
In the evening, you may explore Thamel area for light shopping or café visits.

Kathmandu Local: ~25 km | Kathmandu–Nagarkot: ~32 km
After breakfast, begin exploring Kathmandu’s sacred sites.
Visit Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most important Shiva temples in Nepal. Continue to Guhyeshwari Shaktipeeth, Budhanilkantha Temple with the reclining Vishnu idol, and Swayambhunath Stupa.
Later, drive around 32 km to Nagarkot. The hilltop location offers clear mountain views.
Overnight stay in Nagarkot.

Distance: ~170 km | Travel Time: 6–7 hrs
Wake up early for sunrise over the Himalayan range. On clear days, distant peaks including Everest can be visible.
After breakfast, drive towards Chitwan covering approximately 170 km in about 6 to 7 hours.
Arrive by evening and relax.

Distance: ~200 km | Travel Time: 7 hrs
After breakfast, proceed for a jungle safari in Chitwan National Park. You may spot one horned rhinoceros, deer, crocodiles, and exotic birds.
Later, begin your drive to Janakpur which takes approximately 7 hours.

Distance: ~350 km | Travel Time: 9–10 hrs
After breakfast, visit Janaki Mandir and Ram Janaki Vivah Mandap before beginning your long drive to Deoghar.
The journey covers approximately 350 km and takes around 9 to 10 hours.

Early morning visit to Baidyanath Dham for darshan. You also visit Basukinath Temple before departing for Gaya.
Drive approximately 250 km to Gaya in around 6 to 7 hours.

After breakfast, visit Mangla Gauri Temple, one of the Shaktipeeths.
Then drive to Varanasi, covering around 250 km in approximately 6 hours.
In the evening, attend Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat and also see Assi Ghat and Manikarnika Ghat.

After breakfast, visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple for darshan. If time allows, explore the local silk markets.
Later, transfer to Varanasi Airport as per departure schedule.
