Itinerary

Day 1 Drive from Haridwar to Phata (Drive: 226 Km ; 7 hrs 30 mins)
  • Meet our Skyhike representative in Haridwar at your designated location. 

  • After receiving an introduction to the tour and essential information, begin your scenic journey to Sersi, nestled in the picturesque hills of Uttarakhand.

  • The drive covers approximately 226 kilometers and takes about 8–9 hours, depending on road conditions and traffic. 

  • On arrival in Sersi, check into your comfortable hotel, where you will be welcomed with warm hospitality. 

  • Relax and unwind in the serene surroundings of this tranquil hill destination.

  • A delicious dinner will be served at the hotel, allowing you to replenish your energy for the journey ahead.

Day 2 Drive from Phata to Sonprayag | Trek from Sonprayag to Kedarnath (DRIVE: 9Km; 30 minutes | TREK: 18Km; 6 hours 30 mins)
  • Begin your day early with a hearty breakfast at the hotel in Sersi. 

  • After breakfast, we'll drive approximately 9 kilometers to Sonprayag, the starting point for our trek to Kedarnath.

  • From Sonprayag, we'll start our 18-kilometer trek to the holy town of Kedarnath. 

  • The trek offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan landscape, with dense forests, flowing streams, and towering peaks along the way. 

  • You can undertake the trek on foot, by horse, or by Doli (at your own cost).

  • The trek typically takes 6–8 hours, depending on your chosen mode of travel and pace. 

  • Along the route, we’ll find several rest points and stalls offering refreshments to keep you energized during the journey.

  • Upon reaching Kedarnath, check into your hotel located near the Kedarnath Temple, where you can relax and freshen up.

  • In the evening, attend the Aarti ceremony at the Kedarnath Temple. This is an unforgettable spiritual experience, with the chants of devotees reverberating through the serene mountains.

  • After the Aarti, enjoy a warm and fulfilling dinner at the hotel.

Day 3 Drive from Kedarnath to Ukhimath (DRIVE 38Km; 1 hour 45 minutes)
  • Begin your day early, waking up to the serene beauty of Kedarnath and witnessing the golden rays of the rising sun illuminating the Kedarnath Temple and the surrounding majestic mountains.

  • After soaking in the morning views, enjoy a wholesome breakfast at the hotel.

  • Post breakfast, take a short walk to explore the Bhairavnath Temple, located near Kedarnath Temple. 

  • This temple is dedicated to Lord Bhairav, who is considered the protector of the Kedarnath Valley. 

  • The temple offers panoramic views of the valley and surrounding peaks.

  • Begin your descent trek back to Gaurikund, covering the 18-kilometer trek downhill. 

  • The descent typically takes around 5–6 hours, depending on your pace.

  • From Gaurikund, we'll take a comfortable 38-kilometer drive to Ukhimath, the winter abode of the deity of Kedarnath Temple. 

  • The drive takes approximately 2 hours and offers scenic views of lush green hills and charming villages.

  • Upon reaching Ukhimath, we'll check into our hotel arranged by Skyhike near the temple, the winter home of the Kedarnath Doli (palanquin carrying the deity during the winter months).

  • Enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel and unwind for the night.

Day 4 Drive from Ukhimath to Ransi Village to Nanu (Drive: 80 km; 3 hours)
  • Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel in Ukhimath.

  • After breakfast, we'll begin a 30-kilometer drive to Ransi Village, the starting point of your trek. 

  • The drive takes approximately 1.5 hours, offering scenic views of the verdant Garhwal landscape.

  • From the drop-off point, begin your 11-kilometer trek. 

  • The initial route to Gaundar, a quaint settlement near a river, is relatively easy and allows for a relaxed walk through lush greenery and serene surroundings. 

  • The trek to Gaundar covers approximately 5 kilometers and takes around 2–3 hours, depending on your pace.

  • Before reaching Gaundar, you will encounter a beautiful waterfall, a perfect spot for a short break and photographs.

  • After Gaundar, the trail becomes steeper and more challenging, requiring effort and determination to reach Nanu. 

  • The remaining 6 kilometers of the trek typically take around 3–4 hours. 

  • As you ascend, you'll be rewarded with increasingly mesmerizing views of the valley and surrounding mountains.

  • Upon arriving at Nanu, check into a comfortable homestay where you can unwind and enjoy the warm hospitality of the locals.

  • Relish a delicious dinner prepared with fresh and locally sourced ingredients.

Day 5 Trek from Nanu to Madhyameshwar (Trek: 10 km; 5 hours)
  • Begin your day early in the serene surroundings of Nanu with a warm breakfast to energize yourself for the day ahead.

  • We'll begin an 8-kilometer trek to the revered Madhyamaheshwar Temple, which typically takes 2–3 hours. 

  • The trail passes through enchanting forests, meadows, and small streams, offering breathtaking views and a tranquil connection with nature.

  • Arrive at the Madhyamaheshwar Temple, one of the Panch Kedar shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva. 

  • After seeking darshan at the temple, explore the serene surroundings and soak in the area's spiritual aura.

  • After this, we'll proceed on a 1.5-kilometer trek to Budha Madhyamaheshwar, a higher-elevation viewpoint offering awe-inspiring views of the Chaukhamba Peaks and other Himalayan ranges. 

  • Then we'll return to Madhyamaheshwar in the evening to unwind after the day’s adventures.

  • Here, we'll relish a hearty dinner at the homestay in Madhyamaheshwar, where you'll enjoy comfortable accommodations in the peaceful mountain setting.

Day 6 From Madhyameshwar to Ransi to Chopta (Trek: 13 km | Drive: 50 km drive; 6 hours)
  • Start your day early in the divine atmosphere of Madhyamaheshwar by attending the peaceful morning aarti at the temple. 

  • Enjoy a nutritious breakfast at your homestay to fuel yourself for the long trek ahead.

  • Then we'll begin our 18-kilometer trek downhill to Ransi Village. 

  • The descent typically takes around 5–6 hours, offering stunning views of the surrounding valleys and mountains.

  • Upon reaching Ransi Village, board a vehicle for the scenic drive to Chopta, also known as the “Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand.” 

  • The drive is approximately 30 kilometers and takes about 2 hours. It passes through picturesque landscapes of dense forests and rolling meadows.

  • On arrival at Chopta's campsite, check into the Swiss tents arranged for your stay. These tents offer comfortable accommodations amidst the region's pristine natural beauty.

  • Relish a delicious dinner prepared with fresh local ingredients at night and have complete rest. 

Day 7 From Chopta to Tungnath to Chandarshila to Saggar Village (DRIVE: 226Km, 8 hr)
  • After a refreshing breakfast at the camp in Chopta, we'll prepare for an exciting trek to Tungnath Temple.

  • Drive 6 kilometers from Chopta to the start point of the trek. From here, we'll begin the trek to Tungnath Temple, located at an altitude of 3,780 meters above sea level. 

  • The journey to the temple is about 3 kilometers and generally takes around 2-3 hours. 

  • As the highest Shiva temple in the world, Tungnath offers a spiritual experience, surrounded by breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks.

  • Once you reach Tungnath Temple, spend some time soaking in the spiritual vibes and admiring the panoramic mountain vistas.

  • Continue your trek towards Chandrashila, the peak located just above Tungnath. 

  • The trek to Chandrashila from the temple is 1 kilometer and takes around 1 hour to complete. 

  • At the summit, you will be rewarded with stunning 360-degree views of snow-capped peaks, including Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Kedarnath.

  • After soaking in the views, retrace your steps back to Tungnath Temple, then descend back to Chopta. 

  • The return trek takes around 2-3 hours.

  • Upon reaching Chopta, we'll board the vehicle for the drive to Saggar Village, which is located beyond Mandal. 

  • This drive covers a distance of about 226 kilometers, taking approximately 6-7 hours.

  • On arrival in Saggar Village, check into the accommodation arranged by Skyhike. 

  • You will be staying at a comfortable homestay, with dinner served.

Day 8 From Saggar Village to Panar Bugyal (Drive 9Km; Trek-18Km, 37 min)
  • After a wholesome breakfast at our homestay in Saggar Village, we'll begin our day with a trek towards Panar Bugyal.

  • Drive 9 kilometers from Saggar Village to the starting point of your trek. 

  • From there, we will begin the 18-kilometer trek towards Panar Bugyal.

  • The first part of the trek involves a long, steep climb through dense forests, which is considered the toughest section of the entire journey. 

  • This part of the trek can take 5-6 hours, depending on the pace and terrain.

  • As you ascend, you will experience the beauty of the Garhwal Himalayas and the serenity of the dense forest. 

  • The meadows begin to open up at Lyuti Bugyal with expansive grasslands.

  • Alternatively, we'll continue trekking for another 2 kilometers to reach Panar Bugyal.

  • Upon arrival at Panar Bugyal, enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding Garhwal Himalayan mountain ranges. 

  • The trek to Panar Bugyal is a rewarding and picturesque experience, offering stunning views at every step.

  • In the evening, we'll return to the stay, where you will enjoy a warm dinner and overnight stay at a camp. 

Day 9 From Panar Bugyal to Rudranath and return to Panar Bugyal (Drive: 38Km, 12 hr)
  • Begin your day early with breakfast at Panar Bugyal. 

  • The trek to Rudranath will start with a challenging climb to Pitradhar, the highest point of the trek, at an altitude of 11,482 feet.

  • The entire trek to Rudranath Temple spans around 12 kilometers (one way) and will take approximately 6-7 hours, depending on the pace of the trek and weather conditions.

  • As you make your way towards Rudranath, the route takes you through scenic views of the Panch Ganga, which is a series of five rivers. 

  • Upon arrival at the Rudranath Temple, take some time to offer your prayers and receive blessings from Lord Shiva. 
  • Spend some quiet time exploring the surroundings and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere of this holy site.

  • After your visit to the temple, begin your descent back towards Panar Bugyal. 

  • The return trek will take about the same amount of time, approximately 4-5 hours.

  • Once back at Panar Bugyal, enjoy a warm dinner at your accommodation. 

  • The evening is perfect for relaxing and reflecting on the day's experiences while staying at the campsite or homestay.

Day 10 From Panar Bugyal to Urgam Village to Kalpeshwar (Trek: 14 km | Drive 30 km; 6 hours)
  • After enjoying a hearty breakfast at Panar Bugyal, we'll begin our descent by trekking down to Saggar Village, covering a distance of around 5 km. 

  • This trek will take about 2-3 hours, depending on the pace.

  • Once we reach Saggar Village, you will be driven to Urgam Valley. 

  • The drive to Urgam Valley spans approximately 70 km and will take around 3-4 hours, passing through Gopeshwar and Helang. 

  • Enjoy the scenic route as you travel through the Garhwal region.

  • Upon arrival at Urgam Valley, proceed to visit the Kalpeshwar Temple. 

  • The temple is located at an altitude of 7,217 feet and is one of the Panch Kedar temples that remains open throughout the year. 

  • The temple is easily accessible by road, making it a convenient and spiritual stop on your journey.

  • After your visit to the Kalpeshwar Temple, you will return to your accommodation in Urgam Valley, where you will enjoy a warm dinner.

Day 11 Urgam Village to Haridwar (Drive: 120 km; 4 hours)
  • After a morning breakfast at your stay in Urgam Village, we will begin our drive to Haridwar or Rishikesh. 

  • The journey will cover approximately 231 km and will take 8-9 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions.

  • En route, you will pass through the scenic towns of Nandprayag, Vishnuprayag, Rudraprayag, and Devprayag, which are known for their natural beauty and spiritual significance. 

  • You will also pass the confluence of rivers at Devprayag, where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers merge to form the Ganga, marking the origin of the holy river.

  • On arrival in Haridwar or Rishikesh, you will check into your hotel arranged by us.

  • Enjoy a warm dinner at the hotel, followed by an overnight stay in Haridwar or Rishikesh. 

  • This day marks the end of your tour with Skyhike.

  • 👉 If cancellation is made between 7 days to 15 days before the date of travel, 80% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If cancellation is made within 7 days before the date of travel, the total booking cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If payment is not made as per the schedule provided in the first booking confirmation Email, Sky Hike reserves the right to cancel the booking after attempting to get in touch with you. Refunds will be issued as per the package cancellation policy.

Haridwar itself doesn't have an airport. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, which is about 52 kilometers away. You can take a flight to Dehradun from major cities in India, and then hire a taxi or cab to reach Haridwar.

By Train: Haridwar Junction Railway Station HW

Haridwar Junction Railway Station is well-connected to major cities across India. Trains are a convenient and budget-friendly option to reach Haridwar. Several express trains connect Haridwar to almost all major cities.

By Bus : Haridwar ISBT

Haridwar is well-connected by buses to major cities and towns in North India. You can take a government or private bus from your starting point to Haridwar. Government buses are generally cheaper, while private buses may offer more amenities.

  • 👉 In case your package needs to be canceled due to any natural calamity, weather conditions, etc. SkyHike reserves the right to deny a refund request in the event of a disaster, depending on the nature of the disaster and its impact on the organization.
