Itinerary

Day 1 Day 1: Drive from Delhi to Manali | Overnight Journey

We’ll meet at the designated pick-up point in Delhi, where you’ll meet your SkyHike representative. 

The guide will give you a brief of the journey, and then we will begin our adventure. 

Board the private vehicle for an overnight journey to Manali, where you can relax and get ready for the days to come.

We’ll take plenty of stops on the way so that you stay comfortable throughout the journey.

 

Day 2 Day 2: Drive from Manali to Jispa (via Atal Tunnel and Sissu Waterfall)

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll hit the road to Jispa.

On the way, we’ll pass through the Atal Tunnel, marvel at the Sissu Waterfall, and enjoy the stunning shift in scenery as we drive towards the heart of the Himalayas.

Upon arrival at Jispa, we’ll check into our camps.

The rest of the day is yours to relax and take in the views.

In the evening, we’ll gather for group activities, followed by a delicious dinner under the stars.

 

Day 3 Day 3: Drive from Jispa to Purne (via Shinku La and Gongbo Rangan)

Start your day with a warm breakfast before we head toward Purne.

Our first stop will be Shinku La, a high-altitude pass. This place is a stunning spot to click some Insta-worthy pictures. 

After taking plenty of rest, we’ll continue our journey. 

We’ll travel to Gongbo Rangan, a majestic solitary mountain, and take in the breathtaking views.

We’ll reach Purne by afternoon and check in at the campsite. Here we’ll set up the camps. 

At night, enjoy dinner and experience the culture of Himalayan villages.

 

Day 4 Day 4:Drive from Purne to Padum

Today is a day for exploration as we head to Padum. But before that, we'll start our journey with a hearty breakfast. 

We’ll get on a hike to the Phuktal Monastery. It is popular among travellers and tourists as it is carved in the mountain. 

After the hike, we’ll check in at SkyHike’s homestay, where you’ll have time to rest and reflect on the day’s experiences.

In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by your local hosts and spend the night stargazing in the tranquil surroundings.

 

Day 5 Day 5: Explore Pensi La Pass, Drung Glacier, and Sani Lake

We’ll start the day with a visit to Pensi La Pass, which sits at 4,400 meters and serves as the Gateway to Zanskar.

Our next stop is Drang- Drung. It is a glacier that is covered with pristine snow. 

After exploring the place, we’ll make our way to Sani Lake. This is another stunning place where you can enjoy and take many pictures. 

After a fulfilling day, we’ll return to Padum for dinner and an overnight stay.

At night, enjoy a good dinner along with a nice chat with other travelers. 

 

Day 6 Day 6: Explore Karsha Monastery and Zangla Palace

Start your day with a warm hearty breakfast. 

After this, we’ll head out to explore the majestic Karsha Monastery. It is believed to date back to the 9th century. This is the reason why it's so popular among tourists.

Next, we’ll visit Zangla Palace. It is perched on the top of a hill.

After a day full of history and culture, we’ll head back to the homestay to relax and enjoy.

Enjoy your dinner at night and spend a peaceful night. 

 

Day 7 Day 7: Return from Padum to Manali | Overnight Journey to Delhi

After a leisurely breakfast, we’ll bid farewell to Padum and start our journey back towards Manali.

We’ll pass through some of the most scenic landscapes of Zanskar before arriving in Manali.

After a bit of leisure time in Manali, we’ll board the vehicle for an overnight journey back to Delhi.

 

Day 8 Day 8: Arrival in Delhi

We’ll reach Delhi by morning, bringing an end to our journey.

Say your goodbyes to new friends and reflect on the incredible experiences you’ve had.

    Zanskar has extreme weather conditions with cold winters and mild summers. Best time to visit is from June to September, when roads are more accessible.

  • High Altitude Preparation:
    Zanskar sits at high altitudes (up to 4,400 meters), so be prepared for altitude sickness. Acclimatize properly and stay hydrated.

  • Book Accommodations Early:
    Due to its remote location, booking stays and permits in advance is crucial, especially during the summer months. SkyHike will take care of this!

  • Respect Local Culture:
    Zanskar is culturally rich and home to Tibetan Buddhism. Dress modestly, be respectful at monasteries, and avoid public displays of affection.

  • 👉 While entering passenger names during the booking process, Do ensure that they exactly match the names on the travel documents (e.g. Aadhar Crad/PAN card/ Passport/Voter ID card/Any Identity Card) that you will be carrying for the Trip/Trek.

  • 👉 The passenger names in the booking form should be exactly as per Adhar Card. Sky Hike will not bear any liability for the name change fee if incorrect names and ages have been added at the time of booking.

  • 👉 In case your package needs to be canceled due to any natural calamity, weather conditions, etc. SkyHike reserves the right to deny a refund request in the event of a disaster, depending on the nature of the disaster and its impact on the organization.

  • 👉 Sky Hike reserves the right to modify the itinerary at any point, due to reasons including but not limited to Force Majeure events, strikes, fairs, festivals, weather conditions, traffic problems, cancellation rescheduling, closure of /entry restrictions at a place of visit, etc. While we will do our best to make suitable alternate arrangements, we will not be held liable for any refunds/compensation claims arising out of this.

Payment & Confirmation Policies
  • 👉 100.0% of the total Trip/Trek cost will have to be paid 7 days before the Date of Travel.

  • 👉 To confirm your Trek/Trip booking, a 30% advance payment is necessary. Once we receive your deposit, we'll send you a confirmation email with all the details, Invoice & due amount, and payment date.

Cancelation & Refund Policy
  • 👉 If cancellation is made 30 days or more before the Date of Travel, 25% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If cancellation is made between 29 days to 16 days before the date of travel, 50% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If cancellation is made between 7 days to 15 days before the date of travel, 80% of the total Booking Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If cancellation is made within 7 days before the date of travel, the total booking cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • 👉 If payment is not made as per the schedule provided in the first booking confirmation Email, Sky Hike reserves the right to cancel the booking after attempting to get in touch with you. Refunds will be issued as per the package cancellation policy.

  • 👉 Transfer your Trek/Trip (any Trek/Trip, within 2 months of your Date of Travel) to your friend before 15 days of your Date of Travel.

  • 👉 You can only Transfer your Trip or Trek to those friends or People who haven’t booked any trip with us in a given time period. 

  • 👉 70% cash voucher in the form of 'HikeCoin' for any other Trip/Trek for one year, If we are informed before 20 days of the date of travel. (1 Rupees = 10 HikeCoin)

  • 👉 80% cash voucher in the form of 'HikeCoin' for the same Trip/Trek for one year. If we are informed 20 days before the date of travel, (1 Rupee = 10 HikeCoin)

  • 👉 The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.

Child Policy
  • 👉 We recommend avoiding going on adventure trips with young children below the age of 7 years including Dham Yatra. The Dham Yatra has a demanding itinerary that can be challenging for young children.

  • 👉 Children under 5 years old are free of charge. However, Please note that this typically applies to one child per paying adult. Additional children under 5 Y/O may require a separate seat or pay a discounted fare.

  • 👉 Children between 6 and 12 years old will be charged 70% of the adult travel cost (per person).

  • 👉 Children 13 years and older will be charged the full adult travel cost.

  • 👉 Please be sure to provide the accurate age of all traveling children at the time of booking.

  • 👉 Documentation proving a child's age may be required during check-in (e.g., birth certificate, Adhar Card/Passport).
